First time using multiple coupons at walmart.....very time consuming lol

I had one of my "regulars" get nervous yesterday. Seems one of the cashiers got yelled at about coupons. So she was saying they could only take a total of 6 coupons. So they had to go and get both csm's and call to the back. They manager told her to look at the policy by the register. Policy is still what it always was. Twenty minutes for nothing. But I kept calm. Told them I understood. I follow the rules (theirs and the manufacturers) and don't want to get anybody in trouble.

Walmart is the most inept across the board as to knowing their own policy and training staff (including managers!) I have ever seen.

I used two coupons on two items one day and it took longer than using 30 at the grocery store

I refuse to shop at Walmart - and yet I still beat their prices 99.9% of the time with my coupons doubled at grocery stores. No need to deal with that hassle for me fortunately and I know for others, they may not have a choice. My deepest sympathies to those of you who have to shop at WM!

ugh................first couponing trip to walmart with multiple coupons for the same item...........straight foward, $2 off any Benadryl topical product..........got 8 of the anti itch sticks for $2.28 each, $2 off
= $0.28!!!! Well I put the stuff up there along with the rest of my purchase.........I asked her to stop the belt so that I could get my coupons in order..she didn't,I think she sped it up lol..............anyways when I finally hand her my coupons she reads them, one per purchase, then says she doesn't know if the computer will let her scan them because it says one per purchase..........I tell her each item is a purchase.........she says no it's not, and actually laughs at me, like I'm a stupid child........ I tell her I have ones that actually say one per transaction......she rolls her eyes........coupons work of course........annoying

I dont understand this, because (and i may be wrong) doesnt the register beep if you attempt to use a coupon and havent purchased the product?

The Journal spits out if it's a coupon that doesn't match the product...problem is often it spits out even if it does match.

Where you get in trouble is where coupons that read "one per transaction" or similar. NO register reads that...cause it's in the fine print, not the barcode. That is why we need to try our best to always know the fine print of our coupons, and this is why cashiers get in trouble..cause it's a PITA for them to read each dang coupon and figure out if you have one that is one per transaction or similar.

I'm hopeful that maybe when they start scanning the new barcode that some of this mess will get fixed.
