from what I know at my store is the cashiers have ads for the week at their stations but I haven't price match anything yet
I get the sales flyers delivered to my email. Is that good enough for price matching or do I need the actual flyer from the paper?

Technically the price match policy says you don't need to have the ads ....BUT I would highly suggest you bring them anyways.
The online ad they will not price match....

I always bring the ads with me just so I know that I have them if they tell me they need to see the ad. I have only had it happen once but I make sure I bring them just incase they ask. I go through circle everything in the other ads I am buying, make sure I note it on my list and that way I have all I need when I walk through the isles. Keep in mind that when you do price match it can take awhile getting through the register and it is better if you can split your order up on the belt so that price matches are at the end since they have to key each one.
I tried to price match once and they said I would need the ad.
Thanks guys! Unfortunately they did not have the ads at the front. She said they stopped keeping them. She was nice enough to price match when I brought their ad up on my phone so that saved me a couple of dollars!
I'd always try to remember to take the ad. Makes it easier when the cashier sees what you are explaining to her. I did forget to take my ad once, for 1 item I was price-matching, but the cashier had told me she saw the ad and remembered the price was what I said to her that it was so I didn't have a problem (but that's probably a rare chance that every cashier will remember something from an ad that's not in front of them).
According to their policy, she didn't do you a favor. You aren't required to have the ad and if they tell you that they could get into trouble.
One of my husband's aunts did this in SC. The cashier said she was responsible for bringing the ad and she pulled out their policy that said WM was responsible for it. She called the district manager (a little far but still) and he gave her a $25 gift card and his cell phone and said if another cashier tells her that to call him personally!
I have price matched - 3 things in one transaction. The cashier and CSM looked at me with beady eyes but they rang it up (and they didn't have the ads).
Good luck and I'm glad it all worked out!![]()

Thank you for letting me know! It seems like the cashiers aren't educated on their policies as much as the customers. It must be frustrating for them but it's definitely frustrating for us when they seem mad. I priced matched again this week and I had the Kroger flyer with me. The cashier was really quiet when I pulled out the ad. I could tell she was royally miffed!
I don't get the paper, so I don't have the ads to take with me. I look at them on the store's website. It never fails, the cashier asks if I have the ad. Every. Time.
