My Walmart STOPPED doubling coupons!

I was so excited a little while back when my Walmart started doubling coupons...well they've stopped, just a few weeks later! I'm not sure why, I came up to my cashier with a bunch of items and the cashier told me they weren't doubling anymore! Which sucked cause the items would have been free:( The cashier didn't know why they stopped.

Odd. I've never even heard of a Walmart that did! I wonder why they did it for just a few weeks...?

I'm pretty sure someone posted last week or recently about some of the WM's doing it on a trial basis. I don't know what all areas it was/is in.

I heard of it happening to out west - are you out west?

I'm in MI and they never tried it here. It was probably great while it lasted for you!! I wish Kmart would bring back unlimited $2 doubles!! :(

May want to verify that with management there. Some are doing it on a trial basis...or only on certain days...but never get your info from a cashier.

I'm in Utah & they double here every Tuesday to match another store in the area that doubles every Tuesday. It's been very nice! You can only pricematch or double coupons but you can't do both. Like a PP said, I wish Kmart would bring back their doubles back too!!

I just remembered this. The post that mentioned that some WM's were doubling said you had to ask for it. Just in case that helps someone.

I availed of doubles @ one WM when I asked a cashier if they did and she called someone for approval. When she got the approval, what she did was take off face value of coupon like ad match, in this case $1. So for 4pk Activia marked 2.18, she entered it as 1.18 with code for ad match. Then she scanned my $1 coupons later so I got them for .18 a pack. I observed most cashiers will outright say NO or if they give me the blank stare, "what is that?", then I know I can't get doubles

It doesn't hurt to ask, and if I get it, feels like winning bingo

Wow. Never heard of Walmart stores doubling. LOL that needs to be a nationwide thing. Would be fun to test out!
