I've had that happen to me before, and was told that the refund amount was for the price that the item was selling for at the time of the return. I just took my item home and sold it on ebay for about two dollars less than what I paid for it. As a rule, I don't shop at Wal Mart. It's crowded (they did just build a second one here in Denton, and it helps a little), they never have enough cashiers, and I don't like taking my kids there, because they always want the candy by the registers. I make about one trip there a month, by myself, just to price match whatever is on sale at Sack and Save, or get certain deals on things that are more expensive elsewhere. On a positive note, the new Wal Mart has opened up quite a few jobs here in town, and they are great about matching prices and taking coupons. I very rarely have to have a CSM at my register!
