Thumbs Down No overage at Walmart per PM

So I went today to purchase a few things from my local Walmart which I shop at alot. I had some coupons with a little overage and the cashier tells me I can no longer use overages for other items. So I ask when did this happen and he says last week. So I ask to talk to the manager politely, mostly trying to find out what's up. Eventually after talking to three people and getting three different stories, I talke to the PM who stated that he would no longer be allowing overages. I said that is not wm policy and explained it to him. I know he knew I was right but he wasn't willing to budge. He said if I would bring in a receipt from another wm he would do it as well. I won't do that but I will take the policy in to him some time this week.

He said the show EC had been causing alot of coupon fraud. He said the similac coupons and a crest or colgate coupon had been misused several months ago.

I was very nice and so was he but I really hope this isn't a sign of things to come.

They are not following there own coupon policy...you need to email corp and let them know and have them help you resolve it.

not sure what on EC was shown similac or crest/colgate wise that was fraud. I'm positive people are not seeing that the $5/1 similac is one per transaction(or don't care!). This is why we must always show that we read the fine print and are honest couponers.

As you keep shopping there..and they realize that your not scamming them...it will get easier!

While I'm not that person who runs to corporate every time a store doesn't follow it's own rules, call corporate. At my last trip to WM, I have a bunch of items that at the end I had overage for. When the total came up the cashier wasn't sure what to do so she asked the CSM who told her that according to WM's corporate they are to give the $ back, no matter what. Apparently another customer freaked out on her (CSM), called corporate and she got in a bit of trouble for not giving the $ back to her. So, call them. Me? I'm happy if I wind up getting it all for free, let alone get $ back. I'm happy either way, but that's just me. Good luck!

It normally doesn't change often...we'd be sure to announce it here if it does.

You know, I had a problem yesterday with overage. I had the Just my Size coupon from All You and found a shirt for $1. She told me I couldn't use that coupon because the shirt was only $1. She was snotty about it too, and I was being nice. I just said, fine and took my coupon back even though I know she was wrong. She was taking so long ringing up my order and nit picking my coupons that a line had formed. I wasn't happy, but I wasn't going to cause a problem. Perhaps I should had went to customer service... oh well...
