used one today with no problems, so I know its not in effect here yet :)
I have just read on an other board that WM has put out a memo ( the OP has taken a picture of it) that states the home office has put a stop to giving overage on the Similic coupons. My question is has anyone heard or have this happen to them in the last few days? If so what area are you in. This way we can see if it across the board or just is some area.

hmmm...rumors stink...but if they did put a "memo" out, they would have to change their store policy. and i can not tell you how many times a cashier has said there was a "memo" when their wasnt really one.

I read that rumor somewhere, too, but I do not know for sure. As of last week I was still able to buy a bottle of Similac using the $5 off coupon and got the overage on my other items.

It worked just fine yesterday.
Now odds are the memo was to make the cashiers know that the coupon is one per transaction. But what gets muddled out by a cashier...is a very different version.
I don't really see that any insert coupon that is being used correctly is ever going to be a mention of a memo to not accept. Now if I recall right maybe there has been IP's of similac in the past...and maybe some thing along that line is the issue.

Oh and I should mention.
Sometimes online forums have trolls and even "representatives" from the companies...coming out with all sorts of stuff, that isn't correct (have no idea if this is an issue for Walmart or not). We strive here to not allow that kind of stuff..but we have no control of other forums.

The Similac checks (not sure about insert coupons) specifically state in the fine print: "Formula purchase must exceed check value." Therefore, this is probably what the shopper who would not get overage encountered.
"I don't come from money, I come from coupons!"
I used to get the overage with those $5 coupons, then went to buy it and the price had went up. So with that $5 coupon I am paying .50cents for the already mixed bottle, which isn't horrible. When it initially rang up the $5.50 though, I told the cashier it was suppose be to the $3.84...she called a manager who then said the price went up. I stated that was fine, but you could have changed the price on the shelf. They ended up giving it to me for the $3.84 but have not had the issue with the overage yet.
