I had plenty to cover the overage spent like ten dollars after all my coupons. The cashier printed out the lil mini reciept looked at price of formula then told me that was all I could get discounted. Next time I will go to cust. service :)

When you email corp...it actually will go to the manager of the store...unless you choose it to go straight to corp. The manager or an assistant will give you a phone call in a day or two. Been There done that.

Also I also find most of the time...that If I mention I will call corp...that they will find someone higher up for me to speak with...so I can get it resolved.

Both times I resorted to call corp was because the manager on duty was the one I had an issue with.

Hmmmm that's interesting...because I have used that coupon numerous times and it has never spat out the journal. It just asks if the coupon amount is $5...and the cashier pushes yes (or whatever button it is).

I have read 2 couponers had the same experience, 2 different boards and both said their store got an email specifically mentioning no more overages on SIMILAC MQ. The one on wuc said cashier showed her the email that came from WM HQ which she took a shot on her phone but can't figure out how to transfer to her desktop to share online. The poster on afc said one store was hit with 100 fake copies while giving cash back for those. Granting the story is not fish tale since I doubt if the $5 Similac inserts Qs can be copied that would scan, I have not read of any IP with similar value. If it was true, I have reasons to believe the cashier is in on it because of the number purchased in ONE transaction and the amount of cash back given without calling a CSM to verify the transaction. For the store saying they got ripped off 100 bottles Similac and 116 in cash that caused the email alert to all stores, is quite hard to believe. There must be something more to the story that remains to be heard.

Ya something doesn't smell right. My store has had a pretty good amount of stock of the formula ....but I'm pretty sure they don't have 100 bottles. That would take up shelves.

    Exactly.

to see for myself, I checked the formula aisle to find out how many bottles can fit in that small space while taking NOTE that only 1 kind of Similac is marked 3.84. Maximum of 10 fit into the slot so for 100 bottles (?!) to be bought in 1 trxn means it was bought by the cases on special order and paid all at one time @ check-out (shouldn't have been allowed due to one per trxn verbage on MQ), To add that trxn went through w/o a glitch is highly suspicious, as it is. And now, they dish out this fake copied Similac MQs fish tale that cause WM to single out this Q. It just fans the rumor mill with more suspicion that there is something behind the scenes that has not been mentioned as the real reason behind this isolated policy.

I had a csm Saturday night that made it spit out the tape for me when I tried to use the $5 similac q. It did not spit out a journal tape at first - just asked to verify the amount. Instead of f1 she pressed some buttons and out popped a tape.
She said she couldn't take it and handed it back to me.

OP and others - email corp. If you opt for company feedback you get the option of going the store or corp route. If you do choose store feedback it goes to the dm and the store.

While I don't complain to get gc's - I do get them. I have gotten 2 from Kroger, 2 from publix and 4 from Walmart.

I just was offered a $50 WM gc recently because of the similac problems. I've had the issue multiple times - no offer of anything - just a "sorry we will get it fixed" comment.
So the next week I fire off another email saying it's not fixed and I am wasting my gas to use these coupons for no reason.

This last complaint must have been sent to a frequent flyer dept because they offered me a $50 gc. I jumped on that so fast - wasn't funny!

So out of 100 complaints I get about 2 gc's. I will take it as a reward for trying to get a non q friendly store changed to a friendly store.

Thank you for solving the journal tape mystery!

    Q) When you shop at WalMart with coupons, do you have the printout of WalMart's Coupon Policy with your coupons?

    Q) If not, why not?

    +

You will save yourself a metric ton of grief by keeping that gem with you when you shop at WalMart.

    It is your trump card.

    +

    WalMart's Coupon policy sez:

*The following are guidelines and limitations:

-> If coupon value exceeds the price of the item, the excess may be given to the customer as cash or applied toward the basket purchase.

    Walmartstores.com: Walmart Coupon Policy

    +

Anyone that shops at WalMart and uses coupons is shooting themselves in the foot and asking for grief if they do not carry a copy of WalMart's Coupon Policy.

    +

    Q) Expecting cashiers to be familiar with the chain's coupon policy? ...

    Don't make me laugh!

I keep the policy on me, but sometimes you can't get them to read it.
Plus management told me the cashiers had it at their registers but still would not read it.

The next time I had trouble I got ugly in my email to corp over it.
Told them how much gas I had wasted, much my time I had wasted and how many trips I had made after the issue was supposedly fixed.

Made 10 trips to the same walmart in April and was denied 7 times. 4 on just the similac and after it was supposedly fixed.

Sometimes you can't argue with them. Try down the road and start all over.
