Left my binder at WM!

This past week I began couponing by cutting coupons out of 5 newspaper inserts and putting them in baseball card holders. Needless to say I've been super excited. So I set out yesterday to pick up some things at WM. I wasn't planning a big trip, but thought I'd take my newly organized binder of coupons with me. When I left, I left it in the buggy at WM! And my daughter and I did not realize it until 20 min. later when we were sitting in the Target parking lot. I flew back to WM trying to convince myself that if it's gone, it's only one week's worth of coupons (from 5 papers though). I dropped my daughter off to begin hunting while I parked. She asked the greeter and went to the service desk. It wasn't there. The sad thing is the service desk did have another binder full of coupons organized in the baseball card holders just like mine! So I met her at the door and we walked around. As we were leaving I saw my binder sitting where the buggies are in one of those handicap buggies that you ride. I guess somebody just laid it there. Whew! So lesson learned on my first outing with my binder! Don't forget it!

Great idea on the reward! I did tell my daughter that I was going to pick up a bright red one so I don't forget it. But the heart attack it gave me yesterday was a good reminder!

Glad you got it back. I left mine at Walgreens once and luckily was able to get it back. Since then I have a rule that my car doesn't leave the parking lot unless I check the trunk to make sure my binder is in there.

I carry mine in a reuseable shopping bag. Since I'm not likely to leave a bag of groceries in the cart I figure I'm more likely to remember my coupons. And I usually toss my coupon bag on the front seat instead of in the back with the groceries. I'm always terrified that I will forget whether I put it in the back or not so this way it's always in my site. And if I'm going to more than one store I don't have to get back into the trunk before the next stop.

Not to tell my age - LOL,
old as dirt - but I lost a red one about 18 years ago.
It was the same color as the cart flap way back then and it was small about the size of a multi row cd organizer. So it fit right down in the baby seat part. Blended in very nicely with the seat too.
Some lucky person got $1200.00 and I even remembered it b4 I left the parking lot..
Even filed a police report.

I was on the way to the bank after picking up a dog from the vet. Spouse had to make a last minute trip out of town. I was sick and really frazzled that day.
Just ran in to get some thing for the sick dog and decided the cash was safer with me in the organizer.

Learned my lesson the hard way.

I now have a loud lime green binder.
My name is in 3 places - reward statement in 2.
I don't have to worry if the seat flaps are blue, green or red - I am covered. Cash never comes with me - I lock in the glove box - really I prefer gift cards to shop with.

I completely understand!! I've done this 2x. Once at Shoprite and the other at Target!! My name is in it, but the Target people never bothered looking so it was a good thing I needed it b/c I never would have realized it was gone. Whew! I swear, it was like I lost my child! When I am packing up my groceries Shoprite, I put my binder in one of the bags, since I know I'm not going to leave a bag in the cart. At Walmart, I always grab an extra bag and put the binder right in it!! Glad you got yours back!!

OH MAN!! I am so worried will do this. I also carry a small notebook that I keep lists and coupon notes in. I have lost 2 in one month!!!!! AHHH!
Reward is a great idea. I am going to make and print some info to put in mine. Gonna do it right now so don't forget!!
