Left my binder at WM!

And wow... really sorry to hear about your experience, thickbluebug. *ugh! That's awful!

I have a rather large black purse... which I place in the baby seat of the shopping cart..
INSIDE my purse, I have my coupon binder... it's the flip open type with several dividers/slots for coupons.... like this :

I never even take it OUT of my purse... I simply pull coupons from it and place them in the first "slot" of the binder.. the coupons that I will be using for THAT shopping trip.
When I get to the register, I pull the coupons out of that slot, paperclip them together, and put them IN my cart.
When I unload my cart... the last item to take out, is my coupons.
And since I NEED to get into my purse to PAY... my purse is always the last item that goes BACK into my cart.
So, *whew... hopefully..I won't be losing ANY of it anytime soon. lol

I used to use a coupon organizer... which was nice...

But, since my kids have been growing up and moving out (only one left at home..almost 17 yrs. old now)..
I don't need to shop/stockpile as much as I used to...
So, I don't use my coupon organizer anymore.
I did, however, pull it out the other day... just curious to see how OLD the coupons were in there! LOL!!
2006 was the oldest expiration dated coupon. lol

Glad you got your binder back intact!

I use a small accordion file for my coupons. And sometimes I have the habit of putting it down somewhere and almost forgetting it. I haven't yet. *knock on wood* However, I have had that moment where my heart skips a beat when I think I have forgotten it somewhere.

another thing to think about is if you lock your vehical maybe some how use a climer clipper key ring to attach your keys to say the zipper of your binder. Same effect as tying a string to your finger you will get to your vehical and if you have no keys you will know why and you can head back in rather quickly to get them. Just an idea.
Also the name and reward and maybe a cell phone number as a contact is a great idea. Glad you didn't totally loose your binder, I lost a $3 cat over the last week I think it blew from my car on a windy day but I don't know it is no where to be found :(

I left mine in the basket at Dollar G the other day. It's a heart stopper. Remembered when at HEB circled back and found it still in the basket in the parking lot. Since than, place me name in the organizer and been more careful.

I don't take a coupon binder out with me, but I do take quite a hefty envelope of coupons with me for each store... I keep mine with me/on me at all times either in my purse, or lately, in a bright patterned tote bag so I don't forget it... I use the tote bag with coupons as my purse when shopping so I guard it like I would my wallet and cell phone so I never leave it or forget it!

I keep some of my things, like sales flyers, in separate USPS 10” x 12” Priority mail envelopes.

When I exit my vehicle, I place one of those envelopes on top of the steering column.

If at WalMart, it is the WalMart envelope.

It is my ‘reminder.’

When I get back into the car, it is one of the first things I notice and it reminds me that I exited my vehicle with my coupons.

My coupons (I currently use ATM envelopes to hold my coupons) then, are immediately placed back in the USPS Priority mail envelope.

I just left mine at WM the other day too. Thank goodness it was there the next day when I called. They even locked it in the cash office for me. They were looking inside for a name or contact info and noticed I left a copy of my tax return in it with my SSN on it, so they locked it up. I guess I threw it in my binder and forgot about it. That could have turned out a lot worse.
