Yes, it's very common for prices to vary by region. I see that often at my store too.

Apparently they price them by store.

Wichita Falls TX is a small city. There are 3 Walmarts there. I go to the one that's cheaper than the other two. Some of the price differences are pretty significant.

The cheaper one also has a lot of great clearance racks all over the store every time I go in there. The two expensive stores hardly ever have anything on clearance.

I was going to say...sometimes it's by store as well as region.

Where I live...It's a smaller market walmart store...so some of the deals I can't find where I am...but 30 minutes away at the slightly larger walmart I can find them.

When I was looking for the pampers wipes packages for $1.97..I had to drive 2 hours away to find the deal.

Consider the prices a YMMV. It may be close. Heck some of yours might be better...however some things are reasonably consistent.

ok so that makes sense. the store I usually go to didnt even have a spot for the small size secret clinical deodorent. but the larger one in the city just down the road had it. so we stocked up last night before the coupons expired. so all the girls are stocked on deodorent for a while.
On a side note if your in walmart. the 3/27 Rp had a 1 off vasoline lotion I didnt see where it specifed a size and they do have a travel size in the trial and travel section for .97.
hope everyone has a great day.

This is one of the reasons I hate WM so much. I can go on one side of town and a tiny bag of dog food is a $2.00 price difference. I absolutely think they do all this on purpose. Another puts something at a much higher price for one day only, then the next day it is much cheaper and they call it a rollback - even though it is at the same price it had been for ever before that one day. I'm only shopping there for overage items at the moment.

Also one stores clearance is crazy stupid. It is all at regular price, but with new red clearance tags. And most of these items are still there for months now. Weird.

Part of the problems with the Clearance stuff right now is most of the stores are getting ready for Annual Inventory. A lot of the things are marked as clearance because people will actually buy them if they "think" they are getting a better deal. :) And if you keep a+n +eye on the clearance section the closer they get to actual inventory the more they REALLY do clearance things. :) Our store has cut prices on several items by quite a bit. <3

YUP! I noticed real clearance prices on Saturday on much of the HBA stuff.

That's because they want to get rid of all the little stuff that's not in the larger boxes that they come shipped to the store in. Why? Because the associates have to count this and typically it's last years inventory and therefore it shows that we haven't sold it yet and we want a good sales total for the end of the year. So Inventory is different for each store, so it will depend entirely on your stores inventory dates, but they will definitely be cutting prices when that date gets closer.
