OK I just received word that it is now OK to post the Walmart Black Friday ad. So for those who have been waiting for it here it is! Please share deals & discussions here.

Can anyone tell me how Walmart's Black Friday works since they are open 24 hours. Like do they let you grab the items before it's time for it to be on sale or do you have to take a number like Best Buy...how does it work?

Oh, and coupons.com had a $2 coupon for Ice Age: The Meltdown and it will be on sale for $1.96=FREE

My Walmarts always have the items on pallets covered with black shrink wrap. You can't get to the items until the employees cut it off. The clothes are usually "guarded" by employees and you can't get to the rack until it's time. HTH

Last year, I worked BF at Walmart. We had stations set up for big ticket items and people got in line and took a number. The lines started a midnight. When there were as many people in line for an item as the number we had in stock, we were allowed to take them up front to pay. If we had an 20 of an item and only 5 people in line, they had to stand in line until the sale officially started before they could purchase the item. If the person left line, we took their ticket and held it for 10 minutes so they could go to the restroom. If they were gone longer than that, we were to give their ticket to the next person waiting that didn't have a ticket. That way they could limit people to one big ticket item instead of running around the store like a crazy person trying to snatch up the deals. A person had to choose the one item they wanted to stand in line for. The smaller items were shrink wrapped until the sale started, and then we cut the tape off of those.

In some stores they are handing out little goodies while you shop & stand in line (12:30am-4:00 am). We are handing out donut holes, breakfast bars, hershey kisses, trident gum & 5 hr energy.
I get to hand out all these goodies! I think it'll be fun:)

O.K...I see on top of the pages of most items it states "Available after 12:01 AM" on Friday, but then it says "Shop while you wait". So does that mean that you can actually purchase the items starting @ 12:01 AM that are "available", or can you just put them in your buggy & still have to wait til 5:00 AM to purchase them?

Last year, we had to wait until 12:01 to purchase a television. According to the associate handing them out, the computer system wouldnt update the price until then. They handed them out, but we couldnt check out until that time.
