walmart: aug 5th possible great deals on school supplies

my sister talked to her local manager (normal, il) and was told on aug 5th (the first day of the tax free weekend) that walmart would have some crazy deals on school supplies. one of things she was told was $.05 spiral notebooks.

Our sales tax holiday starts on August 6th so maybe Walmart is trying to get more business before the tax holiday starts. It's August 6th through August 15th. It's only the 5% of the sales tax that's collected by the state. Here in Springfield I will still have to pay 3% since our total sales tax is normally 8%. No they don't.....Georgia has for the past few years, but this year they chose not to....It is up to each individual state. Here's a list I found that "I think" lists them all. Hope it helps. Sales Tax Holidays
