    HI My Wal-Mart Experience

Last week late at night the cashier refused to give me the face value of a the coupon because of an overage. She was going to write it down to the price of the coupon. She tells me she has been a cashier for 13 years and Wal-Mart never gives over the amount of the product. She said they only get reimbursed for the price of the product. :hectic1:
The CSM called the manager and who said I could only use a q that is less than the product price. :hectic1:The CSM said he would allow me to use it if it was only a few cents overage. :hectic1:I asked him what the difference is between a few cents overage and more? He said he had other cashiers to help right now.

I called the 1-800-Walmart # the next morning and explained what happened. She said they should give me the face value of the coupon and if it results in me getting a cash back overage a CSM has to be there. She was reading this verbatim from their policy. I said what do I do if they don't? She said to call the same number again from the customer service desk or a cell. I asked if I could get a copy of the coupon policy. She said to go to customer service and they would give it to me.
I go to the store and try to do the same deal I tried to do the night before, no problems at all.

I went to customer service and asked for a copy of the coupon policy. Two employees from accounting came out. We talked for a few minutes and I explained what happned the night before. They were very nice and both understood coupons perfectly!!!!

I went back into the store again. The cashier spent 10 min reading the coupon, goes to get the CSM, has a big attitude and wanted to write down the coupon. I told the cashier and CSM the name of the person in accounting I had spoken to before. The CSM leaves, comes back and the cashier refuses to give me the face value. I asked for the q back and went to customer service to call the 800#. While I was trying to get the phone to work the cashier got me from the customer service area and said they would give me the full amount. The cashier has a major attitude, telling me how she believes in a higher power and what goes around comes around, she is 20 minutes late for lunch, blah, blah. (Why didn't she follow the policy the first time! )

If you have problems I suggest calling or going to customer service and ask for someone in accounting. They were very helpful.

    Ditto to the above!!

I never shop Walmart anymore, but would if I could print or get a copy that states this. Since my trip & having the Store Manager tell me I was "cookie-cutting" the coupons & the MANU would know they ALL came from ONE person, I have not stepped foot in a Walmart.

No that was not in the pages I was given. It is 8 pages but I only have 3 of them. The sections I have are Accepting Coupons, Coupon Limits, Manufacturer Coupons and Internet Coupons.

my front end manager yesterday said that accounting told them to either adjust the coupon down (which is fine) but the computers wouldnt let her do it....or to ring them up separately and leave the overage in the register and make a note..

i just talked to immediate response and got the "the managers have the ultimate decision on weither to take a coupon or not" which i told her i understood but it would be nice to have one set rules per store manager not rules made up by a front end manager....

Cutting a bunch of inserts at once so they all have the same cut pattern on the edges. Some places call it gang cutting.

    Thanks!

Yep, he said my coupons were cookie cut, even though you can clearly see they are not. I only get 5 papers a week & cut each coupon out one by one as I need them. My overage wasn't even very big & I was still having a large out of pocket as I was buying dog food ( I am a Mini. Dachshund breeder) so, it wasn't like they were losing money or getting penny's from me. Well, now they have lost my business. I felt like I was doing something wrong, when I clearly wasn't. So, now Petsmart gets all my business & they gladly take all my doggie & kitty coupons. Along with Walgreens, for the care packages I make for my brother in Afgahan, which is what the overage was from, the 2.00 J&J q's I had and was using them on the travel 1st aid kits (.97).

And you know what? Honestly...if you buy 20 papers and cut all 20 at once what business is it of theirs? I sometimes get 10 copies of inserts and usually cut 5 at a time.
