Since I joined this site about a month ago I have been wondering what the deal was with so many threads about Knox, something I have never used in more than 30 years of cooking. Now I understand, people are using it to get their other items for free.

I used 20 at one time. No one (cashier, cashier waiting for the other to go on break, CSM, another CSM) had a problem with the overage. They had a problem with the 'one per purchase'They took 6 off, took off other q's left the register, came back, added the 6 back to my total, waiting for the Asst. Store manager, who knows me since this issue "one per purchase' happens 100% of the time i go. The 4 waiting there, looking like they were going to cry when the ASM says, yes she's purchasing 20, take them off
I only go to Walmart for free or close to it and normally have lots of multiples. The didn't even notice my total went down by $100 after the coupons.
I had to really think about paying .20 each for mine, there is NO WAY i'd pay .70 each. But to each her own on that.
Character: how well you treat those that can do nothing for you and how you act when no one is around to see.
Holy cow I was nervous and slightly guilty over the $2.76 of overage I got using my one coupon. Expecting to use over $175 of overage in one transaction seems out of control.
I understand that the store get reimbursed for the full value but this scenario seems extreme. I know my conscience wouldn't allow me to do it. I also believe in flying under the radar simply because I would rather not have the attention turned toward me, even though it is all legal.

I usually get $500.00 worth of overage per transaction AT ONCE. Sometimes I have to have two carts and one fo the workers in customer service bring the other cart to the check out line.
People, it is NOT wrong. Just some Wal Marts refuse to learn their policy because they don't want to be shown they are WRONG!

I think it's more an issue of :
Is this $4 off *any* Knox coupon - with picures of the Joint products on it - and fine print stating "valid on products indicated" - valid on $1.24 Knox gelatine?
I think THAT is what some of the Walmart staff are questioning...
Not so much their coupon policies, etc...
I don't have much else to say ...other than... I hadda pick my butt up off the floor when I opened this "Urgent" thread and...read what I read.. lololol
MY WISHLIST : http://tinyurl.com/cy7565:talking3: ~*~ Chat Mod ~*~ :talking3:REP ME if I've helped you in any way!
*Click the scales in the bottom left corner of my post and scribble in there.
The most I've used at one time was 12 but it was with a CSM I know who gave me the policy previously so I knew how she would handle it. But on a regular basis, my average is 8 of the Knox plus other coupons per transaction and I've had no troubles. I've only got a few left to use till Tuesday.
OP, if you plan to return all the ones you've bought previously, with a receipt showing all the $4 Knox coupons you used and probably showing very little OOP, I think you'll just flag yourself. I will not be surprised if they tell you they will only give you what is showing on your total which may just be a few dollars which does not tally with the full price of all the Knox you are planning to return.
Weigh it carefully before you burn your bridges with this WM whom you said used to be very coupon friendly. You may just put yourself on their *BOLO list and from hereon your transactions will always be scrutinized. Even if you said they took lots of the Knox coupons in the past that gave you overage, you may have stretched your luck too far. If it was me, I would just have cancelled the transaction without causing a stir and would likely try a different cashier using lesser number of coupons done in several transactions. It may be a lot of inconvinience but I will do the longer route if it means hassle-free transactions. I hope you weigh your options well.
Good luck!
*BOLO = be on lookout
I have read everything everyone has wrote. I just pulled out the Wal-Mart Coupon Policy that they emailed me. The only thing is said was ****USE OF 40 OR MORE COUPONS PER TRANSACTION REQUIRES APPROVAL BY CS****
They have told me in the passed that they WILL NOT give overage on a coupon so they just find a spot on the coupon and right the price.

This was interesting to read...I have been lucky not to have any problems with the stores I shop at...including Walmart. When I am going to make a large coupon-run, especially if it is a lot of the same item--I let them know up front that I have a bunch of coupons and hope it won't be a problem. Once my Walmart hits 30 coupons, the mngr has to do something "special" to the register for it to continue. (CVS has a coupon cut-off at 100.) Also, I don't have a problem telling them when I am making a run for the Food Pantry or my Soldier boxes...afterall, it's hard not to notice someone buying a buggy load of stuff for next to nothing...sure it's none of their business, but buying 50 or more of anything will get you a second look. And so far (keeping my fingers crossed) it has worked out ok for me.
My other thought is that you mite need to shop around for better coupon prices when you purchase them...$60 for 64 coupons seems like a lot.
I hope you are able to resolve things...afterall coupon shopping is so much fun and when Walmart has good deals...you really don't want to miss them just because of your bad experience...
Good Luck!
YES I donated EVERY box of my Knox and allof the Schick razors too. Al of my Wal Marts know I donate and do not hoard stuff. They just know the coupons producing overage are paying for my stuff and I am fortunate enough and nice enough to donate a ton of stuff.
