I would use NO MORE than 5-10 at a time with that kind of overage.
Okay :) Thank you. Are there any other stores that will do the overage?

unfortunately, you must have "hit" this cashier on a bad day .. it's happened to all of us at one time.

good luck today .. let us know if you have success at the other Walmart ..

Well considering last I heard Walmart has a $40 limit on coupons before a CSM had to be called I sure as heck would not have evr used more than 9 of them.

And overage is YMMV pretty much anywhere.

And the coupon is in the grey area for that item.

I think YOU were in the wrong not Walmart and I also do not think this is a Urgent situation as you suggest in your title.
64 $4 coupons that produce overage are SURE to produce drama regardless how nice your store is.

OP I promise I am not trying to be harsh or mean to you
but I just think you need to sit down and calmly think about this.
Also, do you EVER want to go back in the wal-mart? What about in a few years? What if you ever need a job there (God forbid) ?
I would not show my butt over something that I was not 110% in the right about and even then it would have to be because some one called me a blippity blip and treated me badly WHILE I was 110% right.

You IMHO were not 110% right here and it sounds like you were treated with respect AND offered a FAIR offer of being able to use your coupons to get your items free.
They are not required to do any more than that.

Do you have all your reciepts for the items you are returning? You can only have 3 returns without a reciept per 6 months or something like that.
Do you really want to pack all that stuff on the bus to Walmart to stand in line for what is probably going to be hours? Do you want to lose your coupon value? Because I would be willing to bet they will give you AFTER coupon prices back. And yes that is wrong since they will be getting reimbursed for the coupons. But you returning a mass amount of items bought with coupons and wanting the full amount back probably isnt going to happen.
And then what? Are you going to call the cops? I am betting they side with Walmart.
This can NOT end well with you returning your items just to show yourself and prove a point.

PLEASE think about this calmly and step outside the situation and look at it again.

I think you are going to be better off to just let this go.

I think it just depends on the store, the cashier and the wording of the coupon ..

recently Market Basket had a $3/3 any Kraft item listed. Jell-o (single boxes) were listed. My Market Basket had them on sale for $.50 each so I was able to get $1.50 overage w/ every coupon. I have 3 MB near me .. I was able to get the overage at 2 of the 3 stores.

The CSM's usually just come over and over ride it. I use way over $40 in coupons every week at Walmart, after I buy regular items without overage such as shrimp, potatoes, etc...

I didn't "show them my butt" lol. I was very polite, didn't get visibly upset, and only stated facts the entire time.

So, its right that they commit coupon fraud by getting $4 back on a $1.24? But I'm the one in the wrong?

Yes, in the past 60 days I have used a lot of coupons but I have also spent a lot of cold hard cash ($400 to $600 have to add it all up). I do have all my receipts.

no i don't think you are wrong about this .. but its up to the Manager discretion whether or not to accept a coupon.

If this is a Walmart you frequent a lot, I would let it go. If you complain too much you will be a "marked woman" every time you go to the store ..

LOL I shop there so much that they all already know me by name. Would you suggest letting it go completely or should I at least try calling corp or the store manager?

You are seriously asking this? They wanted your business enough to accept all your coupons for items you bought in the last 60 days. If you go and return everything you bought, don't think the other Walmarts in your area won't hear about it. Returning things you bought in the past has nothing to do with this particular shopping trip you are trying to make.

I would really love to hear about the trip when you go return everything though. Doing that will only prove one thing though. And it won't be about Walmart.

I would let it go. Calling corporate won't get you anywhere if you complain about not being able to use 64 overage coupons, I promise.

We all have learning experiences with coupons. Take this as a lesson learned and move on.
