It is 1.78 lb. but I don't buy it because it has tons of fat in it. We don't like it much but for free I would get it, LOL
like 1 lb packages or so? I've never bought hamburg there. And if anyone has any idea what they typically sell it for per lb I'd be eternally grateful
thanks!

I used to grind my own before my kitchenaid knock-off up and died (I had that grinder attachment). It is not cheaper but after reading several "horrible" books about food/slaughter houses - it was the only way I could eat ground beef. I am now back to buying the ground at the store. But when I can afford a real kitchenaid, I am going to get one with the grinder attachment.
