Walmart ~ Vent: WALMART Anyone else had problems using the 3/1 Schick??

Went to visit a relative today in another city & stopped at Walmart. Picked up a few of the $1.97 Shick & some other items. The lines were long so I hurried over to self checkout.........what a mistake that was!!!!!! I scanned my items & then scanned the 3/1 schick. The computer wouldn't accept.....~think it said exceeds limit or something like that~. Associate over to help tells her the same thing. CSM#1 is comes over to see what's going on. First thing out of her mouth..~this item is only $1.97 & this coupon is for $3.......I'm thinking her we go. I then realize the probem is the self checkout register, and ask can we ring me up at a regular register. CSM#1 runs over to get CSM#2 & first thing out of her mouth was....I can't accept this coupon, at this point I'm looking at her like WTH not. She says....well the coupon is more than the item,(my reply so what you're gonna get your $3 from shick) her response- besides this isn't the correct item, it's not on the pic, at this point I'm laughing like whatever lady. She then starts to babble about one per purchase. At this point I'm livid. So I ask her what does ANY mean, & do u expect Shick to put a pic of every item on coupons. Here's the kicker....she says where did you get these coupons from anyways & tells me she'll take my coupons this ONE me but not again. At this point I say no you will take it now & whenever I come back. I pull out my phone & proceed to call corp meanwhile CSM#1 proceeds over to HBA & brings me a more expensive Shick disp razor & says why can't you buy this one. I'm looking at her like WTFE while on hold for someone from corp. So I ask again, can we just go to a regular register for my transaction...her reply~ computer still won't accept coupons. Asst manager comes out, he didn't have a clue either & I explained that this needed to be done on a regular register. Meanwhile someone from corp finally picked up & told them to go to a regular register and guess what folks every coupon scanned, asked if amount was valid, like it always does and cashier entered yes...just like I tried to explain to them it would do. I told the Asst manager his staff needs to be educated & trained on coupons- no response from him. Well I got my razors but it was a pain in behind.

Note to self~~~~stick to my regular walmart & self checkout will not accept a coupon that is more than the item.

Where are the $3 Schick coupons coming from, if you don't mind me asking.

I got mine from the Schick shave gel I bought, (melon burst...i think) there will also be 3/1 coupons coming out this Sunday.

I experienced the same scenario at my local Walmart using two $2 Schick coupons except, I didn't call Corp. because I didn't know the number. The cashier told me the exact things you were told - the item didn't match the picture, the item was less than the coupon, get the more expensive razors, etc. and refused to take them. I gave up, had no energy to fight anymore, and she threw the two bags of razors back at me. I believe she called another worker to come and return the razors back to the shelf and when the worker came I informed her that I would return it back myself and was followed all the way as if I was going to steal them. $1.97 bags of razors? I don't think so.

I used it somewhere else and gladly paid $2.67 plus tax for the same bag, less the $2 coupon, and didn't get any hassle. I haven't been to Walmart for quite a while and it would take a lot for me to go back again to take that kind of treatment.

I'm glad you were strong and got proved those workers wrong.

Seriously- this is why everyone hates walmart. Grr. I would have been SO LIVID! There is no reason to be treated with such disrespect. Does anyone know if the razor coupons this sunday will exclude trial sizes? I had been using the $2 ones at rite aid on the $1.29 travel packs- oh goodness I loved that!!

The preview I saw excludes travel sizes on the new $3 schick Q. Luckily my wal-mart has a few coupon friendly cashiers, so I've had no problems yet. LOL.

used 4 of them on the $1.97 razors at walmart and didnt have a problem...Im selective on the cashiers I choose, they know me from my constant visits and TRUST that I know what I am doing :):) YAY!

I have no problem using those MQs on the 1.97 disposable razors. I'm fortunate our store got the memo that coupons that scan with face value over the store's sale price are to be accepted. STRICTLY no cash back. If coupons DO NOT scan, they will not be taken. If register prompts, coupon amount valid = X amount? cashier has to check the face value matches the valid amount on screen and hits K1. They do not adjust coupon amount to match sale price.

So far, so good. Those Schick MQs were/are one of the easiest MQs to use in order to get overage. I just make sure I do not get over the $40 limit for coupon amount so I don't have wait for CSM approval. I just break my transactions to smaller ones.
