Walmart ~ Clearance WALMART - 3 fullsized notebooks for 690.00

I am still on cloud 9. i went to walmart last night to get my son a laptop. i saw in their ad that computers were on sale. i went in and saw a sign that said that 30 percent will be taken off of all the windows vista computers that are on clearance.
i first saw a hp regular priced 798 on clearance for 400. i got that 1 for 280.00
next was a compaq reg 698 on clearance for 310. i got that one for 210.
next was the acer not on clearance but he gave it to me for 200 said he needed to get rid of it since it was the last one.

i was just about to spend 598 by itself on the toshiba.

Does anyone know if this is going on at all the stores? I don't go to walmart often, it is out of my way. But totally worth it if i can get a cheap laptop.
Were these open boxes or regular laptops that they just wanted to get rid of?

I doubt its at all stores. Clearance is usually different from store to store. I lucked out once just stopping by WM and they announced over the intercom that all clearance was 50% off (up to $20). We ended up leaving with 3 over flowing carts for $110 When we checked the other stores they had no idea what we were talking about
Once I even saw a lady make a deal w/the store (different store) manager at the check out lane. There were carts lined up right behind the checkouts filled with eater clearnace .she offered him $2 for the entire cart full of easter lights..I mean full. And he accepted!

I was so jealous ;-p So it just goes to show how different the stores can be with their clearance.

I am soooooooooooo jealous my laptop is on its last leg and I need a new one so bad!

Thanks for ur reply, i was just their last weekend and like i said it is out of my way. No where near my house and since it'll most likely snow around here not very enthusiastic to go out. I might call them though to check if they have any sort of clearance. Thanks again
