Wal mart usually has a line form around 9pm-11pm thanksgiving day it is an all nighter camp out and fight for the death. I will never do a bf at Wal-mart I do k-mart, or target supposedly you can get the wal-mart deals online as well...

It really depends on your local WM and if you want a big ticket item, or not. Around here, most ppl don't arrive til at least 4. With the way lines are being done for big ticket items this year, i predict people arriving earlier.

I never want any big ticket items, so I usually just get there about 45 mins before the sale, and usually get all the small items I want.

I don't sleep most BFs and I'm more of a Target kind of BF girl. I'll be there by 4am.

I'm a get in line 10 minutes before the sale kind of girl. Never had a problem getting what I wanted, but I don't usually go for the big tickets TVs and stuff.

Last year I left the house at 11 pm on Thanksgiving night. I shopped until about noon on friday.
I went to the outlets and the mall. I do not go for big ticket items so I have never had to fight over a deal. I would love a laptop but refuse to deal with the long lines.

Its almost impossible to get to Best Buy in Charleston, really not worth fighting the traffic. I have already bought Madison's clothes online, already got the wii games so basically I will leave my house about 6 am and stay in my town this year.

I love BF shopping but my funds are much lower this year.

My fiance works for WM (unfortunately).

Normally when he works the night before, people are lining up starting at 9pm. These are people that want the laptops and tvs though.

He did mention that they'll be doing things differently this year because of everything last year. They're not allowed to call it black friday and they are handing out tickets for the items (similar to best buy). Only people with a ticket will be allowed to get the item. He doesn't know what time they'll start handing them out but you could leave after getting the ticket and go back later for it. I think they're only going to give people one ticket this year too and not allow more people than number of items to be in that item's line so I don't know if they're actually having separate lines too. They're claiming to try and do it much more organized this year so there are no more injuries.
