WalMart ~ Black Friday 2009 ~ New Walmart Holiday Commercial

I just saw this ad this morning. It actually says that Walmart will match the price of any store and "No need to bring in the ad"

I'm sure if I were to try it without the ad I would be told no in several languages!:shrug7:

I wish I had a way to get that ad on my cell phone so I could show my store manager.

Ours is the same way - not sure why they always so you don't need the ad. Apparently they've never been to my Walmart either.

I have a hard enough time trying to get them to match when I do have the add, I could not imagine what would happen if I did not have it!

My phone has a video recorder. I would use that to record the commercial and then play it back for them. Let them tell you no. Take it up the food chain and get a GC for your trouble. GO back use the GC to pay for the PM item you want with out an ad and just smile

Well, at my walmart they usually take the shoppers word for the price but I doubt they would take a shoppers word for a TV that is 300 dollars cheaper somewhere else w/o seeing the ad. I would think it would be safer to just get the ad and take it with you.

I went this morning and my son was getting kit kats ($.50 each). I said there are on sale $.45 at x store (which they are). I was ready to fight. She said "well I can't do it without the ad." I said "YES YOU CAN, It says on tv NO ad required, because Target has just started price matching except they require you have the ad." OF course I have a newbie. She says she is new and she will ask "number 11"....SO she comes over and says "well it is only a nickel." I don't care they were going to give it to me, the point is I was at express lane (EXPRESS meaning I was in a hurry) and what about the next person that tries to do it without the ad? I don't usually shop there but I needed cookies for my son's birthday (Must be packaged!) and they are on the way to school.

Does anyone know if this Price Matching counts for Black Friday items? I mean is Walmart going to say well there was only a limited number of those items at Target at that price.etc...etc.....:shrug7:

I think it's a ymmv situation.
I have pmatched at walmart from a target ad on black friday. Didn't have any trouble, but that could change at a drop of a hat.

They did it that way last year too. I did a few price matches on BF last year and I did bring in my ads just in case but they didn't even look at them. then the lady behind me went back and got some of the things I price matched because she saw me do it. My husband works for them and he told me it's to crazy at the checkouts to argue with people about their ads, they take your word for it on BF. I'm sure if it started getting abused they would stop but that's how it was last year where I'm from.
