So after having troubles using a $1 Q on the trial size Tide yesterday, I talked to an assistant manager and CSM manager about it and also told them I would call corporate about their coupon policy. The person I contacted at corporate told me they don't have a coupon policy. All they have are guidelines. So why does their website have an entire page entitled "Coupon Policy"? I went around and around with this person. Should I call back and try to speak with someone different? Has anyone else ever been told this when calling corporate? "We don't have a coupon policy."

I will do that, but it wasn't the store employees telling me this. It was the person at corporate that I was talking to on the phone. She told me over and over again Walmart has no coupon policy.
What part of the policy were you having trouble with at the store?

Well, technically, Walmart doesn't have a 'policy' even though it says policy. The coupon 'policy' can be changed in any manner that the store manager feels is best for his store. I have many Walmarts in my area and EVERYONE that I go to(3) are different in the way they handle the coupons. I have made inquiries a number of times with corporate this year and nothing has changed because the manager sets the policy (his) from the guidelines (policy) that corporate shows. If you have more than one Walmart that you can shop at then pick the best that fits your needs. I pass, or close to passing, two Walmarts to do my main shopping at the one that fits my needs, meaning, they take all coupons. It is worth the extra 10 miles that I travel. Luckily its all freeway. I tried to use the closet WM but to no avail. I even showed the print out from corporate but to no avail. The manager's policy was different and that's the way it is. Heck, at this WM I bought 2 snuggles and had two coupons. The cashier refused to take the second one because it said "one coupon per purchase". I then had to convince the CSM that it was OK. That's why they do not get my $500 monthly business. I just use them as a convenience store now.
