WALMART - Clearance Thread ~ 2009 - 2010

We had one of these threads before, but it became inactive and was deleted. At the request of some forum members, we are going to try to do a clearance thread once again. Please post all clearance finds in this thread to keep them all together.

Walmart clearance is very YMMV. You may find one, all, or none of the deals listed here at your Walmart. This is just a guide for those who want to be on the look out for clearance items that other members have found.

If you list a corresponding coupon, please list the source (insert, peelie, etc) of the coupon and its expiration date.

I will be purging this thread on a regular basis to remove the older clearance items.

Well I had a rather interesting morning after I blew a tire while I was at work. I pulled into a wal-mart about 20 miles from where I live and low and behold they had a tire clearance. Now they didn't have my size but I was floored at the prices of them. They had Uniroyals, Michelins, Goodyears and Douglas. Most of the tires I saw were truck/suv tires and a few were for passenger cars. All their passenger car ones and many of the SUV/truck tires were marked at 25 bucks. I asked why and the lady said they stopped selling this kind and that they were closeouts. I decided to call my local walamrt (where I live) and they were doing the same thing. If you are in the market for tires call a few of your local wal-marts. I believe most of them do this clearance thing. Some tires they even had a set of four. Installation is around 10 bucks here so check it out.

This may vary by store. Most of this stuff was marked down by my store (not homeoffice) so you may not be able to find the same exact deals at your store BUT all stores are looking to get rid of the same stuff so you may find some great deals too!

These were the deals I found at my Walmart in Statesboro, GA:

Back to School supplies

Small pack of construction paper .50! (orig-2.88)
Large pack of constuction paper $1! (orig 4.97)
Notebook paper .33! (orig .90)
1 subject notebooks .25 (orig 1.24)
3 subject notebooks .50 (orig 2.xx)
Stapler kits $2 (orig $5)
folders .15-.90 (originally .97+)
various 3 ring zipup binders 1.50-7 (originally 6.00-14.97)
cute patterned 1 subject notebooks .70 (originally $2.xx)

Also all the Oxford brand drafting stuff (erasers, stencils, drafting paper, vellum, etc) got marked down to a fraction of its original price.

Dog clothes $2 (originally $7)
Collars and Leashes $1 (orig $5+)


Toys - (not all of the toys clearance had been marked down yet, the DM will be coming in Sat. morning to finish it)

Here is an example of what had already been marked down
Mega Blocks Smart Builder piano $10 (orig 50!)
Baby lagoon shade pool $3.50 (orig $15)
all the remaining pools were on clearance, not sure of the prices.. but most for at least 75% off

Domestics (shower curtains, sheets, etc) will probably be marking down stuff in the morning. I know they've got Better homes and gardens shower curtains that will be marked down. They're $16 now and I think they are going to 50% off.

The managers in appareal should be marking clothes down in the morning as well. Not sure what percentage though.


If anyone comes shopping in the Statesboro store - Stationary clearance is on the wall beside hardware and on the endcaps in Stationary. Toy clearance is on the aisle beside the lowboy (the platform christmas trees are displayed on at Christmas time). Pets clearance is on an endcap in pets. Domestics clearance is on an endcap in that part of the store and appareal clearance are on racks in appareal.

Hope someone is close enough to grab some of these great deals! If not, hopefully you'll find some equally great deals at your store.

Just wanted to add that the cologne mods were just redone. Homeoffice sent pretty good markdowns on some of the perfume and cologne. The main one I remember is Carolina Herrera is on clearance for $25, its usually $53. There were tons, and tons of cologne that is no longer being carried. When I moved it to the clearance section in my department, it took up an entire 4ft section of shelves. Some of the other brands marked dow were Curve, Usher, Baby Phat, Navy, Stetson, Blue Jeans by Versace, Jlo glow, and lots, lots more.

Also the travelbags that are no longer being carried were marked down to $5 from 12.75.

Well I am new to posting even though I have been registered here forever, LOL I have been too busy to do any couponing, but after a divorce and a daughter moving back home thats all changed. Anyway, I went to my favorite store (Walmart) and low and behold there on an endcap was Captain Crunch, and I mean the big boxes, for $1.00. Ok, I didn't have any coupons, but lemme tell you, I love me some Captain Crunch. I thought I had died and went to heaven. LOL Needless to say
I have enough cereal to last me till the Lord comes back, (or at least till April of 2010) I also picked up a few of the Freshmatic ultra i motions for free, my store is stingy about having these on the shelves. I've been every day and they just have a few out, but I get what they have. I don't understand, it's like we are taking away from them. (rolls eyes) I found lots of other almost free stuff in clothing and HBA. I will probably go again tommorow and see whats out.

My store has marked most of our clearance down to almost nothing, so we don't have much left on clearance.
