One of our walmarts remodeled and took away the fabric dept. Then the next one remodeled and claimed it would be gone after the remodel but they never actually got rid of it, they just made it smaller. Now its just one double wide isle of fabric. The thrid walmart still has the "old school" fabric dept. They have been planing to remodel for like 10yrs now so who knows when that will happen. lol
I'm glad my closest walmart didn't get rid of it though. Its the only place in town for fabric. I'd 'die' without it.
Our store got rid of the fabric department last year. It did go 75% off, but I don't remember how long it took to get there. We have one store with fabric left in the area.
I'm guessing its going to be about 2 more wks before it goes 75% off. It was at 25% off for 2 wks, so I think it'll probably be at 50% for 2 wks then go to 75%. So much is already gone, I'm not counting on too much being left by the time it gets to 75%.
The only other store in town with fabric is hobby lobby and I've heard their selection isn't all that great.
At my WM last night I found some Leapfrog Tag storybooks on clearance (it was in the clearance toys section) for $7, if anyone still has the Wendy's $5 coupons (exp 2/9/10) = $2.
