So did they at least end up fixing it for you? Sorry you had to go through the hassle!
I just found this website last week, and i'm very pleased to save over $25 this past weekend due to your awesome suggestions (i'm just getting started) but it's amazing the b.s. Some of the cashiers give you! You really have to dig in your heels and fight!
So at walmart, i had a $2 coupon for noxema razors, so i was very excited to be getting 6 razors for .97 cents. Went i was walking away from the cash register, i noticed that the cashier not only didn't take off my coupon, she charged me twice for it! So these 97cent razors were costing me $5.94! Her line was long, so i went to customer service. At first ,the lady said i was wrong. I had to show her that i only had 9 items in my cart vs the 10 it stated on the receipt. She then called up to the cashier to check about the coupon, and she said she didn't have it! (i know it was there, because i was nervously watching her about using a coupon for a trial size moisturizer that was rejected at another store---the cashier actually said to me that it had to be exactly what was pictured on the coupon-b.s!)
God knows how many times I've been ripped off and never paid attention! Thanks again for all your help, people!

They gave me back the money for the double chrge, but nothing for the "mystery coupon" that I gave them. I needed razors badly-I've been using the same one for WAY too long, and these were the cheapest there anyways. But I feel like someone stole $2 from me,LOL! I told my husband I hope he's not too embarrassed from now on, because I'll probably be arguing w/ cashiers quite often... (i think he was glad I'll finally be shaving my legs properly!)this is too much time and energy and planning to just shrug your shoulders and walk away---esp. when you Know you're right!
You paid for razors?? :shrug7:
J/K, some day you will look back at this and say the same thing!!
I refuse to even step foot in a Walmart anymore after my last ordeal a couple months ago, I even pulled our prescriptions from there. If it costs me a few dollars more at WAGS, so be it, atleast Wally World won't get it from me anymore.
I have learned to hand over coupons one at a time at Walmart. If I have more than one of a certain Q I will tell them how many are there like "there are ten of these"
Also, add up your Q's before getting in the line. Then check the subtotal (you may have to ask them to subtotal for you) At the end, before you pay, make sure the subtotal comes up correctly after Q's. Good luck, you gotta watch em like a halk sometimes.
Howdy from Texas!
Absolutely agree with avoiding Walmart. I do still go every once in a while but not once a week like I did before HCW. And PP is right, after a while you'll wonder why in the world you ever paid for razors (not to mention toothpaste, shampoo or body wash!)
Yep!!! I have had a bad time lately with me handing the coupons at Walmart to the cashier and finding that they were never taken off. I have to hand them in one by one and watch the screen thing and it tells you if they has been taken off.
I had a really bad coupon experience at Walmart, and it made me want to scream. The lady wouldn't take my Head&Shoulders coupons off the trial size items. I explained to her that it said ANY H&S, but she insisted that if the coupon was more than the product price I couldn't use it. I know that if not true because I have used a coupon like that before, either having it adjusted down or being allowed to use the overage.
It made me want to never shop at Walmart again.

Like everyone else, I've had a nightmare time with Walmart over coupons.. I hate that store! I go maybe 3x a month and usually only because its midnight and there isn't anywhere else to get ice cream at that hour around here, lol.
I think we should start a discrimination suit against WM for the abuse we have to go through to save money, lol.
Ugh! Sometimes I have to. My oldest DS son needed a lock for his locker (the school used to provide them but not anymore) so, we were right by there and it WAS cheap, so...
I hate Walmart tho. the other day I had a few $1 off ANY Kotex product Qs So, I thought I'd grab some $1 liners (was buying a few other things)and the cashier told me I couldn't use them because the product price had to be greater than the Q.
I coulda fought but instead, I smiled and said "okay, whatever, give the qs back, I'll use them @ Family Dollar, they'll be happy to get my coupon "money". She just glared at me, oh well! :shrug7:
