WALMART In your experience will the single subj notebooks be cheaper in Aug

Last Aug I know I got them for 5c but that was the my first year buying them. I know they are 15c now, in the past have they been reduced further once Aug arrives? I don't want to not buy them thinking they'll be reduced further and then nothing happens in Aug.....:shrug7:

Not sure. I can't remember what I paid last year, but I have been picking some up at .10 already. Thought that was a pretty good deal. I'm not sure though. I have been trying to buy a little bit here and there as the sales roll out. I hope I don't end up kicking myself that everything goes a lot cheaper...

I think WM waits for a competitor to put them on for less. Ours were .15 each, then Meijer advertised that theirs are .05 so the price at WM is now .05.

Actually in all my years of doing this, I have found that the closer to school you get the higher the prices go up....I was told by our Walmart manager that the notebooks are going to stay at $.15 for another two weeks, then go up to $.25...I asked about last years $.10 deals and he said they don't even send them in the same cases anymore or from the same warehouse...so who knows, just in case, i picked up my 30....have 5 kids in school, so that should be enough!!

I agree! The crayons that were 20 cents last year are 30 this year and the glue sticks that were 10 cents last year are 30 this year. The prices around here tend to go up when it gets closer to school starting. I've already started stocking up. If I find things lower somewhere, I'll grab more and donate some to the school but I figure 15 cents now is better than the 75 that I usually see the single subject notebooks at after school has started. The crayons (24 count Crayola) are often 99 cents here once school starts. I've bought 16 boxes so far and will pick up several more. I only have 2 kiddos (1 in school, I starting preschool) but I like to send a nice big care package to the classroom at Christmas time when their supplies are starting to run low. :)
