Default WALMART watch your bills - overchgs

I have been overcharged(more than the shelf price) several times. When i reported the same overcharge(cple weeks after the first) the clerrk did not seem to be at all concerned..They get to shelf price when they feel like it(too bad the computer prices are correct)..Overchargeds from 6 weeks ago are still corrected..That was glen muir tomatoes

last week tuna-shelf price .97 rang as 1.27

this is in nY..We moved from mich cpl years ago--where there was state law that required the store to return the price difference plus either 10 times the difference or $5..I guess ny does not

I've noticed that too lately. Our store just remodeled and I assumed it was because of that? I guess not.

I made a mental note to let the cashier know it anything rang up at the sticker price versus the shelf price.

Everything was correct except a few items.

Up until a few months ago they had a policy where you got $3 in cash for reporting a scanning error. That was a good incentive for them to fix the shelf price stickers ASAP. However, ever since they did away with that policy, I have noticed several errors and they are NEVER fixed. Usually they are just a few cents off and I have no incentive to go stand in the customer service line just to get my few cents back. I'm sure other people feel the same way so therefore no one ever informs them about the price discrepancy and it never gets fixed. It was always worth it for me to stand in the customer-service line for a few minutes when I knew that I would get the price differential plus an additional $3.

i avoid the hassle of this by shopping with a notebook, that as something goes into my cart, the shelf price is written down next to the item.......cashiers dont ever doubt that when you have 75 items written down, and all but a few of them are the price something is written down at.......by doing this, it saves ME hassle, saves the cashier hassle and i have yet to go to customer service desk when i do this

I have had the same problem on he muir glen tomatoes at my local walmarts in new mexico. But the thing is that The price on the shelf has never changed but the price at the cash register is always wrong. I love getting a can of tomatoes for 20 cents or whatever but they were trying to sell me a small can for 1.57 who would pay that.

Actually, NY does have a similar law. You have to tell them that and they will issue it to you. I live in WNY and have given a link that applies to our location. HTH!

This is WalMart's favorite trick! Charging more than the shelf price. I once was charged over $7 for a two liter bottle of pop. I immediately called the store to let them know the difference. When I returned three days later for my refund the pop was still scanning at the same price! That put an end to my WalMart shopping and now I find things much cheaper at other stores.

I just had this happen on Wed. I bought around $100 worth of canned food and so many things were charged more than the shelf price. It's not worth the gas and time for me to go back right now but I will buy my next few months supply of canned food from SaveALot.
