were they entered as vendor coupon on your receipt or were they shown as a scanned coupon?
Has anyone else had this happen? I went to Walmart today to get the Sure men's deodorant, which rang up for $1.78 each and I scanned my coupons that were $1.50/1. Well I ended up paying more than I had anticipated, and sure enough, when I looked at the receipt, the coupons were only taken at $.75. What is that about? I went to Customer service and they were pretty unhelpful and said I must have used $.75 coupons... which I didn't! :shrug7:
I also wanted to get a Glade sense 'n spray, which was supposed to be $4 (read about it on here) and it rang up for $7.97.
I couldn't find the Airwick I-motions at all, so I was disappointed about that, too. Overall I just felt like the whole trip was a failure. The customer service people were not very friendly to me. I also had a really difficult time getting the attention of the employees because I wanted to see if the I-motions were hiding somewhere else (sometimes they are on the ends of aisles, etc.), but they seemed to be pretty bored and didn't care to pay attention to me and pretty much blew me off. Then I went to the self check-out because at that point I was feeling like the employees were just unfriendly so I thought I'd do it myself. The SCO was a mess with the coupons and the teenage boy who was the SCO clerk was too busy talking to a friend to even notice that I had pressed "help" on the screen... I'm 18 years old, I'm pretty quiet, and I just wanted to get some good deals for my family. I got the tabasco sauce, the deodorant, and the toothpaste, but couldn't find the i-motions and the sense and spray was not the price I saw here.
Grrr. I just feel like it was a total waste.
Anyway, what is the deal with the coupon price being lower?
were they entered as vendor coupon on your receipt or were they shown as a scanned coupon?

I was just looking at my Sure deodorant coupons from a Sunday insert -- I'm assuming that your Sure coupons are the same -- i.e. from a Sunday coupon insert and not from some other source.
There are 2 coupons right next to each other - one is for $1.50 off Men's and one for $0.75 off any Sure deodorant.
Were the two still attached to each other when you scanned the coupon? If so, it is possible that the scanner read the bar code for the $0.75 off coupon rather than the $1.50 one.
I am looking at the bar code for the $1.50 coupon and it definitely is coded for $1.50 off -- unless somehow your local newspaper printer screwed up the layout and switched the codes for the 2 coupons.
Those are the only 2 scenarios I can think of.
It does happen sometimes, it is how the company programs the amount to match the bar code on the q. Last week we had to vendor coupon some $2 coupons that rang up $1. I could plain as day look at it and see it $2 so I called over my CSM to let them know what I done bc it does print up on a sheet in the back and we can get in trouble for it.
