    Default WALMART Price Error AGAIN

I am tried of a large amount of stuff ringing up incorrectly at WM. In the toy section they have small toys for $.88. They are clearly marked $.88 on the package, on the package! They rang up $1.00.

    This is so frustrating!

Do you know that Wal-Mart has a policy if the price rings up wrong due to a pricing error you get the item free if it is under $3 or $3 off your total bill if the item is over three dollars? Most of the cashiers don't even know about it but it is usually posted somewhere near the check out lane.

In my defense, I will only bid human beings in the auction forum if it's a MM.

I believe that this is no longer a policy that they honor anymore. At least that is what my local store told me. They have removed all the signs stating that policy. They stopped honoring it about 6 months ago.

Really? I didn't know that. But, then I try to avoid Walmart at all cost. I sometimes don't have any other choice. Thanks for the info

In MI it's against the law to not honor the price listed....at least it used to be the law....not sure if it's changed recently though. I can't remember the name of it...

We had an issue with toys not ringing up correctly also. Only the difference was $9. They couldn't get ahold of anyone in the toy dept, so the CSM told the cashier to just give it to us for the price we told em it had been marked. I've had several things ring up wrong at Walmart but they've always ended up honoring the actual price.

It's no longer the policy at my store either and ever since they discontinued this policy they take FOREVER to update the shelf prices!! It's always only a few cents difference and so now it isn't worth the time to stand in line at customer service --- before it was ALWAYS worth a free $3.00 to point out the error. So now, no one reports the out-of-date shelf stickers so they NEVER get fixed. Very annoying!

Yeah this just happened to me too. I bought 3 packs of party favor princess wands that were clearly marked $1 and they rang up $2, took forever to get my $3 back.

I'm in MI and I bought crystal light using the B1 get free skin essentials and since the box said 1.00 that is what he took of for the coupon. Well when I got home I was charged 1.97, I thought well maybe the tag fell off something else. But later i ran back to fill my water and checked and sure enough they were all marked 1.00. So I go to the service desk and I get back the 1.97 plus another 5.00 from the scan law.

It has been a while since I lived in MI, but man oh man do I ever miss that pice bounty. The way it used to be (I assume it still is) was that if the item rang up the wrong price you got the price difference x10 back, up to $5. (So an over charge of .25 got you a 2.50 refund.) It was always nice to get that little extra back for your trouble in having to go to the CS counter.
