    Sorry about your bad experience. I went to walmart today and most of my coupons beeped. They were coupons for correct product they should not of beeped. I had a couple of travel size skintamate gels in their. they were $1.47 and the coupon was $1.50. The cashier was snotty and said you can't get $1.50 off of these. I said I can get $1.47 off though can't I? She said yes. I said that would be great that is all I wanted. Lord have mercy, they are getting reimbursed for these coupons, plus 8cents for handling. They are making more money with the coupon than without in my book. They act like us couponers are stealing from them. They should be more worried about people that are actually stealing from store, oh that is probrally because it's the employees that are doing most of the stealing from walmart.

    mom2lucus co mod and others:

    if you want to get back at them you have to complain, if I am 100% certain I am right, this is the order I complain in until I get that a$$-kissing phone call that yes, I was correct and it won't happen again:

    Store manager (no asst co-mgr crap, the name on the receipts);
    District Manager (used to be called Market Mgr, name & phone # should be displayed at CS);
    Region VP (need store #/location, call corp switchboard to connect to secretary or VM);
    special response team via corp switchboard. This should be a very, very LAST resort.

    All these numbers are in my cell phone. I never have and never will call 1800walmart, if you are really sure you are correct, that number is a waste of your time. If you're not sure if you're correct, then call that number and/or research your issue online. Don't be scared to talk to these people, the ones I know are nice, but very busy, and respond well to short, to-the-point, unemotionally delivered issues put before them. If you're 100% correct, STAND YOUR GROUND period. Stay professional (leave out the emotion, stick to facts). pm me if you have questions

    Heres my only complaint with this-I tried the same thing with some garnier, he, and pantene in the past. No we can take them we can only take it if we price adj the q to .97 because thats q fraud. Um no its not. Im buying this for .97. Im paying you $1 that the manf is giving you in return. If I give you this $1 q and you price adj it to .97 your still getting $1 for it which means your committing fraud! Oh no they say if we write .97 on it thats all we'll get. Straight from a manf-unless its for a free product that requires you to write in a price they get back what the q is printed for. So they could write .01 on there and still get back $1. Thats what peeves me off! They are such liars and always trying to tell you your stealing or committing fraud & trying to make you feel dirty cause they're to darn lazy to want to do it & they are the ones rippin off the manuf!!!

    My walmart isn't coupon friendly. I had those up to $4.00 off ANY 2 rolaids products, they are on rollback for 1.43 at my store so I decided that would be a good time to stock up. The key words being UP TO and ANY. They refused to scan them, told me I was being dishonest and that they wouldn't take them. I had used some a day or two before and they scanned just fine, though the cashier looked at me a little funny. Today, they refused to even try them. All they had to do was hit in the price. I guess they can't read or something...UP TO and ANY seem like pretty clear words to me. I ended up having her void my entire order...which was slightly over $75 haha.

    Well, nanpete, that is all well and good but the store manager still has the last word and no amount of complaining will help. The bad store in my area will give you the phone number if you do not like the store's policy, and no, the manager will not call, it will be an asst. mgr. The manager is NEVER available. That's the way it is at the nearest SMW to my house. There has been complaints to corporate etc and nothing has changed, period. I have never met this mgr nor, to my knowledge, have I ever seen the person but I would bet he/she is at the highest position he will ever be and since he/she can change policy to fit the store's needs that is what he is going to do, period. Needless to say, I do not shop there anymore unless I use it as a convenience store. There are 7 SMW in our town so there is no need to get hassled when the next one up the road is coupon friendly.

    While you do give some good advice, I really think you are making a lot of assumptions here about me and the others who have complained in this thread in that you are assuming we don't know how to complain or get anything done. I would like to respond directly since you directed this message to me.

    I don't think anyone was trying to "get back at them". It's a matter of inconsistent policy at the same store for me. I would like to know before going in how I need to split up my transaction, or if I just need to use my coupon at another retailer, period. I don't want someone making up their own rules on the spot, and I will not be accused of fraud without reporting it to the proper personnel. I don't do shady deals, and I use coupons as the verbiage states. I won't be treated as a thief for doing things the right way, according to previously stated policy by the district and store management.

    I too normally talk to a member of management, and have talked to the DM's office before. I've even called the direct line to corporate when it was bad enough (that was over a recalled item, not coupons). In no way am I afraid to talk to anyone about a problem in the store, even if I might be in the wrong. If I am, then I'll accept and move on.

    The particular day I was talking about in my previous post, I was told there was no member of management available in the store. At all. This fiasco was clearly an employee making up their own rules separate from the policies in place at this store (trust me, I know'em for my store) and then accusing me of doing something fraudulent because I was using a coupon to get something free. I could have called the DM's office that day, or waited until another day to talk to a manager but I didn't.

    The outcome of my complaint to 1800 WALMART was the promise of retraining. And, I have seen the evidence of the retraining when using coupons since. Minor problems were taken care of immediately by a CSM, and with a smile. I did not want to get back at anyone by calling corporate. I wanted the employees of the store to know their own store policy for the next time I or someone else came in with a similar coupon.

    HOT Annoyed at Walmart:(

    This is the second time in the past month this happened to me.
    There are 2 different Walmarts near us and it happened once at each one.
    While shopping I spy a GREAT deal scan it on the "pole" happy dance to checkout where they scan it and then say sorry this item is NOT for sale!!!

    This last time it was 3 LeapPad books!
    We got the boys previously loved (used) Leappads for christmas.
    They are last years model of what is out now, Leapster is all the rage, M&M don't know that:)

    So anyway,I found cars, impossibles and ratatoullie (sp?) leap books and they scanned on the pole at $5/each! Sweet! 75% off:)
    So why then when 2 minuites later we get to the register does it say sorry we can't sell these to you? AGH!
    The cashier, older man, called a 20something cashier over who said "Sorry we can't sell this to you." I said why not it scanned at $5 on the pole walk back with me and we'll see together.
    No she says it doesn't matter this register says it can't be sold, probably got recallled and never pulled off the shelf and the system is just not in sync with each other."

    Recalled my tooshie!:hectic1: The new Leapster came out and they want people to buy that instead! The old Leappad books are going for $30 on ebay!!!

    I would have wanted an answer from the store manger not a CSM.
