HOT Irr- Fuming at Wal-Mart Again!

Well back in April or so I had my P&G coupons for trial sizes turned down at Wal-Mart- and now it has happened again! I've done the Tide deal multiple times this month & tonight I go to do it- and they say "The picture for a big size...etc" and I say "Any means ANY!" So the manager finally comes over and I explain the whole thing to him- and he says, "you can't get items for FREE!" I was shocked, I said, "Yes, I can, I do it all the time." I even suggested he mark the coupons down to $.97 from $1.00 - he wouldn't accept the coupons at all- he said, "if you want to use them on the big sizes I will accept that." Like he was doing me a favor... I said, "Okay, I will be calling 1-800-Walmart right now- I was on hold for over 40 mins finally got someone and was transferred and then hung up on(!?!?!)....I left empty handed and FUMING! I got home, plugged in my cell phone (it died from being on hold that long) and called the number and got right through (WHAT!?!) to a very nice lady (THANK GOODNESS!) I explained the whole thing to her, she understood and said I would get a call back within 3 days.... Oh, why me, why tonight? They finally had 41 Tides back instock... and now my coupons are going to expire before I can get them- frusterating! --What is with these stupid managers!?!?!

41? whew. that is a lot to try and fly with hon. i used to get mad. somewhere in the past on this forum is my anger about when my walmart stopped accepting ANY couponn that was over the price of the item. meaning not just trial sizes but also things like glade and what not. and i have gone in many times and not been able to get a good item becasue they "rolled it back" to 1 cent under the coupon amount. I dont get mad, i shop somewhere else. its not worth the hassle. do what will hurt them the most, take your business elsewhere. i have 15 tide coupons left. i am using them in two different trips to target this week.

I am able to use them at one of my Walmarts, but not the other. It makes no sense. I have used the argument of Food coupons. If I had a $1/1 on a 97 cent food item they would not have a problem, why does it seem that the problem is with non-food items? That usually gets them and I am "allowed" to use the coupons (like they are doing me a favor) If it makes them feel better to think they are helping me out - ok - as long as I get the items for free.

I tried to get 20, but they had 21 more in bin- it's not like they even scanned more than the first one :-P. Oh, I will try and use them at Target too- I've got unfriendly Target's too- so I have to try both Wal-Mart & Target to try and use as many as I can (I have 81 coupons) before they expire Friday. My Wal-Mart is only a few miles from my house- all other Wal-Marts and Targets are 15 mins away, so my plan has been to get this particular store educated about coupons so I can continue to shop there.

What on earth do you need 41 bottles for (or 81 for that matter)? No wonder they are getting picky. This is why I fly under the radar, buying a couple at a time. Hopefully I'll never have to deal with that hassel. Good luck.

Yes why do you need 81 bottles? I mean, over a lifetime won't you do at least 1000 loads of laundry?

Guess someone doesn't understand why to Stockpile.

I have 30+ full size bottles of laundry detergent in my laundry room. It is nice to know, I don't need to buy laundry detergent for a few years.

However, they are talking about buying trial size, not full size bottles.

Shoot, at my highest point I had at least 150 of the trial size Tides in the laundry room (and under the bed, and in the garage and...). Well since I have a 4 year old, I have no more trial sizes from that stash. They lasted a few months (10-11 loads of laundry a week at my house) and those months I didn't have the expense of detergent.

Free is free is free (and overage is BETTER)

Yes, they are trial size- only good for one load of laundry- I could use 100+ no problem.. if only they would not mess up my deals :-P
