Anyone having a hard time at Walgreens using coupons with the new barcodes? None of mine would scan. Then they tried to put in the number manualy and it wouldn't go either. They said it was because the code does not start with a 5 or 9. They had to enter the coupons manualy as a vendor coupon. All 25 of mine.
Got a confirmation they are not accepting them if they dont scan in Burien, WA too
the stayfree bogos I used at dg yesterday wouldn't scan. I have a couple more I will use (or try to that is) at WM today, so I'll post back on my trip
IF coupons don't scan even with the Symbol scanner, the cashiers here are required to check if the coupon is good for the item. Once confirmed, they are allowed to manually enter them. If not, they don't take them.
It is possible that WAG registers have not yet upgraded to read the GS1 barcodes. Hopefully, they upgrade soon to avoid a lot of rejected legit coupons.
Oh this is probably what happened today with the Infant's Triaminic, then. It was the correct coupon, and it worked with the children's, but it beeped with the infant's. My cashier just checked that it was the right item and put it through, but this probably explains it. Thanks!

I had the same problem at Lowes Foods this past week. The cashier would not take my IP's but she manually put through the inserts ones with new barcodes. I put a email into corporate a few days later about this issue and other ones. I got a call from the manager who told me they have put in new registers so the problem doesn't happen again. I hope all stores get the upgrade because it's a pain to void off items I'm not paying for if I can't use my coupons.

I have seen inconsistencies EVERYWHERE including Walmart..including having them manually put the number in, and it still not work..which I don't even know what to do at that point.

The supervisor at my Walgreens authorized the coupons that didn't scan but she told me not to bring them anymore. I contacted corporate about it because I notice 80% of the new coupons only have the new gs1 bar code.
I don't know what to say if I was told that. Its like saying, "this is a one time courtesy, no more of these the next time".
I won't contact corp on issues like this but go straight to the DM and ask him/her how they are going to solve the problem that is from their end. I get good results all the time by sending email to the DM. I have their answer in black and white if I need it.
