I have often wondered if something funny was going on with some stores and coupons. It seems as though we use to have much more coupons out in stores by the products than we do now. I was thinking maybe they toss them and do not put them out but this is something else I guess they can be doing with them. Thanks for the story OP.

Wonder if they will finger print them? that is what I would do...

Question though..even if you pre order...how on earth do you get them all in sequential order? Is that the RR is sequential order or the coupons??? Do the RR's seriously generate a sequential number from the individual store even if other RR's that are the same are purchased from other stores at the exact same times (does that make sense?).

You know, I shop at a small family owned grocery store and get a lot of clearance stuff free or super cheap after coupons. They always seem suspicious, when meanwhile I'm thinking, you guys should be doing this yourselves - get some coupons and buy all this stuff before it's way expired and you don't get anything for it.

With $10 q its 53 items - can well be a 'preorder' from a fellow couponer. If that's the case RRs would be in order and appeared to be unused.
The allegations at this point are merely, "alleged," but how does one explain selling more than you have in store stock? If they are preorders, it would still be store inventory and 100% trackable. If the store does not obtain 1000 bottles, one has to assume they couldn't possible sell 1000 of them. Ultimately, Wags might be able to show they did indeed have the stock, but I'm not holding my breath. To take the facts of the case and hand them out to the general public at this point in time, I would bet my last dollar that they're 100% certain fraud is involved and more importantly, 100% certain they can prove it. There is too much on the line for them to attack a store's credibility for an error on their part. They would totally destroy their own credibility. That would be more important to them than $700,000 (which is a lot of money, I am not trying to suggest it isn't), but they certainly wouldn't risk their company's reputation on a whim.

There was a bunch of FARR that week, and I know that I personally rolled a lot of them. The RR's never did go into my purse or wallet, or even got folded. And my cashier was so quick doing the trx that some of them did have "duplicate" numbers on them.

I know they said the redemption rate for coupons is usually much lower but I would think that for a high value RR you would typically have a high redemption rate. I mean its a $10 coupon lol not a .35/3 :D

wow! This surprises me cause my WalGreens never has coupons out, I found out that they have a box in the cosmetics dept and they only offer them to certain customers. Its like they frown upon customers using coupons. They always give me a hard time whenever I use coupons in there & they wont accept IP coupons either.

At first, I too thought it was about tear pad they hoard and didn't give out. But after reading another article, I think it's about RR. I think some RR has one per customer clause. If that's the case, that would make consecutive number RRs very questionable.
