I work at walgreens for 5 years. My store manager actually goes around telling people to use coupons and tells them to go over to the cosmetic register cause we keep extra coupons over there.I use to do the paper work and I know 100% fact you can use them and you girls just need to start calling coporate or district. | Alot of the issue is that there are some people who go a bit overboard and don't "fly under the radar" so to speak. That causes some managers to become suspicious and worry about coupon fraud. Frankly, there's no reason to go into a store and clear the shelves on the first day of a sale. But it happens, often. I'm not in retail management anymore (I was in college) but I can understand it from a manager's standpoint. Yes, they are getting the sales. BUT they also have to deal with angry customers who can't get the advertised products during the sale week.
All that said, each store manager does have the right to limit the amount of products sold to "normal household use" amounts. Granted, what is "normal" in the general population and what is "normal" to a coupon-crazed stockpile Queen is a totally different animal. There's just something to be said for common courtesy and, if you see something in the previews that you know you'll want a large quantity of, by all means- ask for a special order in advance. Okay, I'm off now.
