How does the register rewards work, I went to Walgreen's the other night and didn't receive any Catalina's or register rewards

Then she picks up my printable $5 off K-Y and frowns at it, studies the EasySaver q, the printable q, then says, "we'll see if it works..." and of course, it works. What on earth happened?? ETA: I just read in another thread that some Catalinas are for $2 off Mitchum. So maybe that woman had that one. I just assumed it was $1 off because I triggered one of those with my purchase.

When I tried using the $2 catalina Mitchum coupon off of the $1.99 mitchum it would beep. I learned earlier in this thread I should have bought something else with it so that the total order wouldn't have gone into a negative and it would have taken it. It would take the full $2 coupon off if I bought 2 Mitchums at $1.99 each. I have one $2coupon left so I am going to go back and see if I can get a mitchum for free if I buy one of the 5cent highlighters with it!!

these do not always print out. If there is a deal for the RR and you buy the products required then they will most likely print. Catalina's are usually random unless there is a special deal for catalina's.

Hi..My name is Amy and I've never been inside a Walgreens.
That being said, I keep seeing free diapers and now free All. My curiousity has been peeked and thinking of taking the hour drive to visit them.

My questions are:
What books/coupons do I need?
Should I call ahead and see if they even have the books and ask them to hold them for me?
I intend to get the most stuff free but start out with $10.
What else should I buy?
What is the best day to go Fri or Sat?

I just don't want to drive all the way out there and not get my usual CVS/Target high when I leave. KWIM?

I hope this is the right place to ask this. Can you use RRs to pay for an item that the store orders for you? I want to order the Eyeglass Rescue product (it attaches to your child's glasses with a phone number on it so if they are lost someone can turn them in.) Anyway the item is not in stores, but they can order it for me. So when I pay can I use RRs? Thanks!

I would assume you can use RR (register rewards) to pay for it. No reason why you couldn't. (BTW, no, you can't use ECBs at WAG - j/k I know what you mean! )

1) You need the weekly sales circular and the EasySaver catalog- both should be available as you walk into the store. You could also print them online at the WAG website, but the store you go to might not accept IPs.
2) You could try, I suppose.
3) See the weekly ad threads, the unadvertised/clearance thread, and just read, read, read! Seems like someone's finding a new deal every day.
4) I don't think it really matters. If it's a really HOT deal, try to go Friday- if you can find out what day the truck delivers at that store, you could make a better decision. All weekly sales begin on Sunday, so that's the very end of the sales week.

By the way, Amy, the cashiers usually have a copy of the weekly ad and the EasySaver catalog at the registers around here, just in case the store runs out of them.

I have a question about 'fillers'.

I read somewhere that normally you can't have more coupons then you have items, so you buy fillers.

Does that mean mfr q and IVC and 7-days....or just mfr q.

For instance, if I buy a product X for $3 and I have a mfr q for $1 and a 7-day q for $1 and an IVC for $1....do I need to buy 2 fillers or is it only if my total for product X goes under $3??

It only counts for mfr coupons. Keep in mind that RR are usually mfr coupons.

In the scenario you posted you won't need a filler.
