It is totally ymmv, meaning if your store allows it. But if they do, both will go through no problems, no beeps.

I still dont see the answer - what do you do if a register reward (RR) does not print? I purchased the Gillette Fusion Phenom today and the Chapstick Naturals also, but did not receive either RR. I am supposed to go tomorrow and the Manager said she will give me a form to fill out and send off for it. (I went to the new WAG in town, this is the first week or so opening, the Manager said they dont even have a Catalina plugged in yet to print the RR that is why I have to send off to it. I am kind of upset about that considering I wasnt notified and didnt notice.) Anyways, my next question is how do I show/explain visually this "promotion" to her when I go tomorrow? She said she didnt see it in either the Ad or the EasySaver? I only know about it from this board, so I dont know how to explain this.
I went to a different WAG and repeated this transaction and got lucky because my RR's did print. So, how do I get this prior transaction "fixed"? Thanks ahead!

Default Re: Have A Walgreens Question ? Ask It Here!

the RR is a manf coupon, so you'll need a filler item which can just be a 30c gum or cheap pencil.

from the RR FAQ
Q: Can I use manufacturer coupons with a RR/Catalina OYNO coupon ?
A: The register considers the RR a manf coupon. You cannot have more coupons than items. If you have coupons for every product you are buying, the RR will beep. So you'll need to throw in a filler item. Look for cheap stuff in the clearance section or get a pack of .30 gum (the manager should be able to make the RR go through but that's highly YMMV and not usually worth the hassle)

From the Walgreens FAQ
Q: Can I use a mfr. Coupon with a Walgreens 7-day coupon or an EasySaver instant value coupon?
A: Yes, you can. If the mfr. coupon causes overage or even .01 more than the cost, you may have problems (coupon will beep). Walgreens does have the capability to override the cost of the item to make it match the coupon, though not all stores will do this. To avoid overage beeping, scan the manf coupon first, then the 7 day &/or IVC.

HELP Re: Have A Walgreens Question ? Ask It Here!

my question is about doing your rebate online (for those of us lucky to be in the states that are included- I am in Alabama). I have registered & tried doing it online for Dec but there isn't anyplace for me to click once I sign in. I get to a page that says something like "choose month". Now it only shows Feb. There is a choice to view the current rebates available but it is just a download of the online rebate list. It says "add receipts" but there is nowhere for me to click to do that. I hope I am explaining this good enough. I have looked but haven't seen anyone mention doing the rebates online here. I know it is much faster & you can enter them as you go through the month. Someone (on another board) posted that the online entering found an extra rebate that she had qualified for that she wasn't aware of. Please help! (I have one receipt to enter now & wanted to try it out- I ended up mailing my Dec one & it took forever to get it back). Thanks! Will rep the one who can help me!

On my screen, I have where it says download this month's catalog, download this months's tally sheet - its to the middle left. On the right, there is a button that says "check rebate status" and directly under that a box that says:
Test program for Alabama Arizona, Georgia, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Tennessee and Wisconsin residents only.
Registration is required. - and then it has 2 places to click "claim rebates" and "check online rebate status". When I click on the "claim rebates" link, it takes me to where I can choose to "start/add receipt".

thanks for the info!
Ok, I've done the steps you listed here & when I click "claim rebates", I get a page where it says "choose month" & when I scroll down, it says "no receipts added" & I can't find a place to add receipts. I don't see a "start/add receipt". I am registered & signed in. (is it the same as registering on walgreens.com?)

Okay here's the deal....last week I had a horrible experience at check out time. a cashier and 2 managers later I walked out with only half of the stuff I wanted and twice as much OOP. Somehow my RRs that I used on the transaction ($4 + $3) got given back to me with my NEW ones. My question is could I use these again? I don't know if they are like voided after scanning once? Anyone know?

Default Re: Have A Walgreens Question ? Ask It Here!

I just asked almost this same question in the CVS forum...but want to know about WAGs also....

Hoping someone can help me. First let me say we are totally broke(as in can't pay rent or the car broke.) H lost his job on Saturday. Anyway, we will be getting our income taxes back next week if all goes well and are planning a trip out of town in a couple weeks(medical appointments). There is a Walgreens there. What I am wondering is....should I attempt to get some deals or not? The next chance I will have to go to Walgreens will be when we move the end of May. Should I look at the ads and see if there are any deals or just forget about it? I haven't shopped atWalgreens since we lived in IL 2005 and they were still doing paper rebates. I figure any freebies(or almost frees) can help us not have to spend that extra money but don't want to waste money. Thanks ahead of time for any advice.

Default Re: Have A Walgreens Question ? Ask It Here!

jesekknitasmom, first off, sorry about your troubles.

I would suggest you look at the deal thread for the week you are going to be in the town with the Walgreens and see if any of the deals that week are good for you. Some weeks WAGs has great stuff--some weeks not so much.

A lot of the good deals are Register Rewards deals. For example, buy product x for $3.00 and get $2.00 your next order. If you have, say, a $1.50 Q for the product, it's a money maker. However, these RRs have expiration dates, so you'd need to plan ahead on how you will spend them. If there is nothing worth spending them on, then the deal isn't worth doing.

So take a look at the appropriate thread, put together some scenarios, and ask questions.
