Not getting One a Day discount

One a day vitamin has a $4 off discount that's already priced in. Also on the inside of the extra back to school page, there is a ad for One a day Multi-vitamin that's buy one and get one 50% off. It did say same value.

I was only getting the $4 off for each bottle, but not the 50% off on the second one.

When I asked the cashier, she said I already got the $4 off. Do I have a case to get both discount?

Yes I think you should if they're both advertised on the shelf and/or in the ad and you have the correct products. You should take your receipt back and ask for the manager on duty.
