I went to my store on Friday when they were unpacking their shipment and the clerks told me they sent THREE, yes THREE Fixodents and NO Noxema razors. They are definately holding back. I am about to end doing ANY business at Walgreens.

i am waiting on 20 bogo coupons. it might sound excessive to some, but the 40 bottles im dreaming of getting will be my yearly BW for my 3 girls. Family of 5 and 4 women. its hard to keep up. i hope i can get some when i get the qs, which will be at the end of the sale! i also went to get the carefree pantyliners right away at my riteaid. i bought 5 papers, and i got the last 5 thatwere $1.00 they had other bags for more than $1 this is in a sleeping town, and not even the town i have to go to for walmart and walgreens and 5 other riteaids. so i wonder if it was unpreparedness for the small town ( i went at 3 pm sunday) or riteaid is doing the same thing

You are in new york so I dont think that the town you say is small can be as small as my town here in TN...Its just that walgreens loading centers are not getting things to stores thats going to be on sale..I have pretty much jsut stop going in walgreens at all for I know they are not going to have what I am looking for thats on sale in stock, and I dont have time or the engery to run in there every week with two 4 year olds when they are not going to have the items that are on sale in stock.

A month or so back some man that was working at walgreens from HCW said that the store he worked at had stuff in the back that was suppose to be on sale but told him not to put it out..so this and the fact that they dont hve item out on the first day of the sale in so many places just dont add up..............my store had the guts to tell me that they were lsoeing money becuase of people that used coupons, I just laughed at that mtg and walked off.....people walking out with items yes but coupons I dont think so..

Although I won't deny the fact that Walgreens is really really poorly stocking items....I wouldn't exactly say what that fellow said..as a "factual statement".

there are two stoplights, i have to go 10 minutes to get there, its farmtown here, but i know what youre saying. But to even get to a walgreens i have to travel about 35 minutes in any direction to get to it.

I might just do it at walmart, and just get the fusion razor at walgreens, maybe two. im not excited about those $5/ onyo things. i like instant savings. especially since weve been living paycheck to paycheck . i just started back up and i havent built a stockpile, and to be honest the only stock up prices ive come across has really been hba. doesnt that suck?

I'm getting frustrated with the Extreme Couponing show, which I think is the reason for this, because EVERY single episode, they show a person clearing the shelves for a deal. So, people think that's a normal couponing thing and they do it.

    It's aggravating.

This is why I posted my vent a couple of weeks ago. I am tired of shelves being cleared the day of the sale. I bet if i went today the toothpaste and dove deo. would be gone already.

However, I do have to say being a former employee that the stores can order the items ahead of time for the sales. Also the warehouses go by what the stores have in stock. If the items go below 2 on the shelf (if the STL is doing their job and counts correctly) the warehouse will automatically send more. I am now taking the sales for the entire month and giving them to my area stores so i can actually get some dang items. They can also see when they order, if any are coming on that weeks truck.

This has not been my experience, however...

I'm definitely not an extreme couponer, just trying to keep the household items we use for a family of 5 stocked enough for when my husband is laid off, which is generally 5-6 months of the year. Preparing for the inevitable layoff now helps tremendously. I also have other family members hit hard by the economy to benefit from it.
This is what I've run into LATELY and...

I think so too. Hopefully when the newbie "Extreme Couponers" get tired of fighting for the deals they'll back off and share alike!
