ClippyClippy you've totally got the scenario. My husband also said I should bring the Sinex back and let the manager know that it did indeed print out the RR without it even reaching the $20.00. I would have paid $14.00 and gotten $10 RR, not paid $19.00 and got the $10 RR. I bet things like that do happen when the teenagers especially are with you!. My husband is totally online with me doing this, and loves it. He now understands and agrees that the coupons are just like cash , and does not bring down the price of the items you've gotten in order to get your RR's. Thanks to everyone for clearing this up! Also, to Bugface, I had thought about using a previous RR of $2 from another brand. Would that have been ok?

If I understand you, the cashier had not hit the total button at the time that you bought 4 items, correct? If so, that is why the RR did not print. They do not print until the transaction is complete. Including the payment. That is why it is a good idea to check the RRs before you leave the store.
I would definitely return the Sinex that you don't need, because it was not needed. Wait until there is a good deal on that! There have been plenty in the past.![]()
Also when using mfg coupons and RR's in the same transaction be sure to have the correct number of items vs coupons. For instance if you want to get 4 NyQuil and use 4 mfg coupons plus the RR you will need a small priced item as well. Walgreens registers require one coupon per item and a RR is considered a coupon. Sometimes you can find pencils or other inexpensive things to fill in.

I've had that happen before, too. Seems like register doesn't recognize it's all part of the RR deal if you "mix and match" within the different types of eligible products. My stores have reviewed the products, the ad, and the CRT, then they've scanned the required number or $ amnt of the same product in a dummy transaction to force print the RR.
