QUESTION Is this a good scenario?

I have a $1.50 RR from last week. I want to get some things tomorrow but I'd like to have some pros opinions.

    Trans #1

    (1) Go! Kids Vitamins $5.00
use RR from last wk -$1.50
    Total spent $3.50 + tax & get $5 RR

    Trans #2

    (1) Lysol Hand Soap System $11.99
    (1) Knee Highs $0.25
    use Lysol coupon -3.00
use RR from previous trans -5.00
    Total spent $4.24 + tax & get $7 RR

Trans #3 (last one, too, lol)

    1 milk - 2.99
    1 EOS Shave cream - 2.99
    2 Pantene (again!) - 7.00
    1 Triaminic - 4.99
    use $3 Pantene c/o
use $3 Triaminic c/o (printed at Wags a few weeks ago)
    use Lysol RR - 7.00
    Total spent $4.97 + tax & get (2) $2 RR

Do y'all think this is a good starter scenario? Its been ages since I've seriously couponed & I'm trying to get back in the swing of things. I thought it was good because 2 out of 3 transactions, I'm getting back more RR than I'm spending... But I will bow down to the Wags pros if y'all say its not a good scenario.

It looks good, but just have a back up plan. I was not able to find the Go Kids vitamins at 2 stores, so I had to improvise on the spot!

Thanks for that info isis! I'll have to figure out my back up plan now before I go...

If you will use all those things, you are getting a good deal for them with this scenario. My thought is, if you can't find the vitamins you just go to transaction 2 and use the $1.50 RR which will give you higher OOP but you won't have spent $ for the first transaction.

Is $2.99 milk a good price in your area? I never pay that much for milk. Eggs are also a good filler, here they are $0.99 a dozen at WAG this week, but last night they were out.

I scored great on filler items 3 days ago, there was a cart of 75% off Christmas candy so I found some for $0.18 and those were my fillers.

$2.99 for milk is a good price, it's usually $3.59 & we go through at least 2 gallons a week. And I do use all those things but my Wags didn't have the vitamins (kinda figured they wouldn't after isis couldn't find them at her store) or the Lysol Hand Soap system. I ended up getting everything else & doing just one transaction though b/c my store was packed. I went at lunch & several people were there, probably on their lunch breaks too.

That's too bad you couldn't get the vitamins or Lysol no-touch. Friday... almost the end of the week. I would bet anything, just because they weren't in the usual place, that my WAG isn't sold out of the vitamins yet.

There have been pretty regular sales here, milk down to $1.99 a gallon or $.99 a 1/2 gallon (I prefer half gallons, and I freeze them when they don't pull a limit on me). It's definitely regional! Wal Mart even had 1/2 gallons down to $.99 once because two other stores were doing the same price.

after reading that many stores did not have this Go! Kids vitamins, I believe the AM who told me this item is a ONE TIME sale and they won't give RCs because they don't normally carry it.

RCs are useless for all FARR offers since they write the sale price without deducting the value of RR that goes with it. therefore, after today, it is NO longer free.

I'll go for easy conversion of my $5 Loreal, Go! kids and pillglide spray RRs. I'll buy 4 Sinex @ $20 and 1 box Deerfield dried fruits @ $1. Use 4 x $4 Sinex MQs and $5 RR. subtotal is 0.00, get back $10 RR

our stores activate Sunday sale by noon of Saturday so I'm planning to buy them by tonight. Vicks RR promo is month long.
