It's not only ridiculous, it's gotta be wrong. Why would I say this? You can have a nice fight with that wags after 1/1. If you check out the 1/1 ad, there will be a RR deal on lysol products (page 12 of the ad), where you get $6 RR when you buy $20 or more. The very same ad shows the lysol no touch system on sale for $8 and also includes the "$3 less with coupon from most Sunday papers" with it.* In other words, Wags 1/1 ad will contradict that policy posted on the door.

The same ad also has two other RR sales that promote additional use of insert coupons.

    General Guidelines

    • All valid coupons should be presented to the cashier at the time of checkout.
    • Walgreens does not accept expired coupons.
    • Coupons and their face value cannot be exchanged for cash or gift cards.
    • Competitor coupons are not accepted at Walgreens.
    • Walgreens cannot accept coupons for items not carried in our stores.
    • The number of manufacturer coupons, including Register RewardsTM manufacturer coupons, may not exceed the number of items in the transaction. The total value of the coupons may not exceed the value of the transaction. Sales tax must be paid, if required by state law.
    • Any coupon offer not covered in these guidelines will be accepted at the discretion of Walgreens management.

    Sale Items

    • Walgreens will accept manufacturer coupons for an item that is on sale.
    • In the event that any item’s selling price is less than the value of the coupon, Walgreens will only accept the coupon in exchange for the selling price of the item. Coupon redemption can never exceed the selling price of an item and no cash back is ever provided in exchange for any coupons.

    Multiple Coupons

    • When purchasing a single item, Walgreens accepts one manufacturer coupon and applicable Walgreens coupon(s) for the purchase of a single item, unless prohibited by either coupon offer.
    • The coupon amount must be reduced if it exceeds the value of the item after other discounts or coupons are applied. (For example, a $5.00 coupon for a $4.99 item will result in a $4.99 coupon value).
    • When purchasing multiple items, Walgreens accepts multiple identical coupons for multiple qualifying items as long as there is sufficient stock to satisfy other customers, unless a limit is specified. Management reserves the right to limit the quantity of items purchased.

Buy One, Get One Free Coupons

    • When items are featured in a Buy One, Get One Free promotion, up to two coupons can be used against the items being purchased, as long as the net price does not go below zero for the items being purchased.
    • Sales tax must be paid for any Buy One, Get One Free coupon offers, if required by applicable state laws.

    Internet/Print at Home Coupons

    • Walgreens accepts valid internet/print at home coupons.

    Register RewardsTM coupons

    Earning Register RewardsTM
    • Register RewardsTM will only print for in-stock merchandise during the promotional period.
    • Register RewardsTM can only be earned for eligible items. No substitutions.
    • There is a limit of one Register RewardsTM (RR) printed per offer per customer per transaction.
    • Customers redeeming a Register RewardsTM against the same offer may not receive another RR.

    Redeeming Register RewardsTM
    • Customers redeeming a Register RewardsTM against the same offer may not receive another RR.
    • Refer to Register RewardsTM coupon for expiration date.
    • The RR coupon value cannot exceed the total purchase amount. No cash back and no cash value for RR coupon.
    • The number of manufacturer coupons, including RR manufacturer coupons, must not exceed the number of items in the transaction.
    • Register RewardsTM must be forfeited if the qualifying merchandise is returned.
    • Register RewardsTM cannot be used toward the purchase of gift cards and pre-paid cards.

Thumbs Up Re: Walgreens Coupon Policy is Now Online

That is a great point about the 1/1 ad. Walgreens policies are inconsistent according to who you speak to and upper management also gets it wrong depending on who you speak to.

Good news though , I received a call from the district manager with Walgreens. She was very understanding and said that the system is flawed and most managers are not sure what the policies are. It seemed as if she was not even sure either. She did say that sometimes the catalina machine may not be working. I did point out what the posted sign said about "No Coupon", she said from what she is aware of that these coupons are accepted. She said that managers are confused and when the RR doesn't print when a coupon is used, then they put that on a list of not being accepted. She made it seem as it was really complicated for the managers.
Well the good news is she called the store and they removed the sign because it was incorrect. She will also send be a GC for $20.

So that is about all. I will save her number if there are any further issues. Oh and I did go to another walgreens and used my remaining RR's and coupons in the same transaction and no problems, the machine printed out my $10 RR for the probiotic pills. I did have one minor issue, I used a printed $2 MQ from Loreal paris and she inspected it and said this is fraudulent. I was ready to show her the site I printed from, but the asst. manager said " No, those are fine , it's the $6 Tide internet Q's that are fraudulent. "

Thanks again to everyone for the help!

No, they don't double coupon face value of any amount.

Doggone the luck. My very first try at it and what happened? Girl at Walgreens Hood River was so nice and got me a chair cause the store is too big to get around with my walker, but I had a nice big list from the paper and was excited about our first $10 back catalina thing. However, we not only did not get a Catalina because the ad defining the eligible items was not clear but also they charged us $7.49 apiece for nuts that were advertised at TWO FOR $7. Well you know husbands are nice to shop for us at all but even with the newspaper in hand it can be confusing when it comes to things like that and my husband did not insist and ask for his money back. I'm an unhappy shopper, I don't like Walgreens, and I think they took advantage of my nice husband.

So I'm glad you're providing us with their policy--maybe it'll help us out. ps--I did google for a district mgr phone to call but couldn't find one. How'd you do that? a

In the past, I was given this number by a CSR to ask for any DM's number: (847) 914 2500 extension 2704

its almost 2 years now since I called the number to ask for a DM since I cut back on WAG shopping due to lack of deals/items.

Try that number and hope it works for you to find the DM you're looking for.
