Walgreens ~ Vent: I hate Walgreens! =please let me vent=

I'm glad you got a call. I emailed corporate over a month ago and have heard NOTHING since. I no longer do the RR deals at wags. Only go if there is a sale that is too great to pass up. CVS seems to appreciate my business much more.

I'd be up the proverbial creek without a paddle though, I don't own a color printer due to the high cost of ink on those, they would have lost me as a customer

Most printable coupons (legit ones) state that they may be printed in either color or black & white. So the whole color thing is a bad argument. What they need to do is train their cashiers on how to spot a fake coupon, not assume all printable coupons are fake.

Any fool should know not to accept a printable coupon for a free bag of Doritos...especially since there has been a Public Service Announcement from the CIC out since May which is sent to most major retailers. I know that the stores in my area print these bulletins from the CIC and post them so cashiers know what known fake coupons are floating around out there.

If color is "harder to copy," they must not be familiar with today's printers/scanners. *rolleyes* If I really wanted to be fraudulent, I could easily scan a color coupon and print it off as much as I wanted-and so could anyone else with a scanner and printer. That's just absolutely ridiculous.

It really is. Furthermore, most fraudulent coupons found on the CIC website ARE in color.

It really is stupid but in order to get the deals, I have to play by their rules I also hate using all my color ink but I figure the wags deals are far and few between for me so I can spare a little every now and then...

Well, it only took me 4 Walgreen's to finally find one that took my coupons together. I never went back to the one I had problems with. Out of the other two, one didn't have the product and the other tried to say they weren't allowed to take a wags Q and a manufacturers Q. I seem to always get the grumpy old women that have nothing better to do than harass me about coupons!

I too no longer shop there. Just not worth the headache, especially when they put your name up in the break room over (2) Huggies coupons and the DM doesn't return phone calls. Sad.

I wish they would come up with a policy that is corp. wide :(

Good news! I went to Wags yesterday and they didn't hassle me about coupons!! They were as nice as nice could be! I guess it was worth it to have to contact the coprorate number. I even had a black and white Celcius Tea coupon and they took it with no probs! WOOT WOOT!!

I have also had trouble with the one Walgreens store in St. Cloud (the one over near Sonny's right?). One day I went in and the girl told me that they were no longer taking IP coupons, not even color. I asked when did that rule start? I had just used one the day before and the cashier told me that they hadnt been taking them for some time. That was absolutely not true as I had just used one there. I asked for the manager and she said she was the manager. Very frustrating. I went in 1 week later, got a different cashier and she took my IP coupons with not even a second glance. I try and avoid that one and go to the one by Narcoossee Rd. Lately I have been going to the Walgreens out off of Vermont towards Canoe Creek. I have never had any trouble using my coupons at that store and the cashiers are especially helpful there. We usually shop there on Monday afternoons. Hope this helps you out.
