    Privacy Policy

For over 100 years, Walgreens has established itself as one of the most trusted health care providers in America. Our company has always been committed to providing our valued customers with the best services available; we want you to be assured that your personal information is properly safeguarded. In the following sections, you will learn how Walgreens secures your private information.
To assist you with reading through our privacy policy, we have provided answers to questions that you may find most important:
What information does Walgreens collect? Our registration process asks you to provide us with a limited amount of personal information. Categories of personally identifiable information include: name, address, phone number, e-mail address, date of birth, and billing/shipping information (credit card number, shipping address). Additionally, our web server automatically collects click-stream information such as the address (or "URL") of the web site that you came from before visiting our site, which pages you visit on our site, which browser you used to view our site and any search terms you have entered on our site.
How is the information used? You may choose to supply personalized information that will enable you to receive individualized customer service that we cannot offer anonymous users. That customer service may include notices about updates to our web site and e-mail reminders. We also use the information that you provide in order to respond to your requests, customize your online shopping experience, administer contests or promotions, offer new products and services, and measure and improve the effectiveness of our web sites or our marketing endeavors.
Does Walgreens share the information I've provided? We will not intentionally release your particular prescription information other than to you, Walgreen Co. and its subsidiaries, our agents (such as contracted fulfillment parties, if any) your authorized representative, or your prescriber or other authorized medical professional. We may forward your prescription information to your insurance plan, so that we can handle reimbursement of your prescription purchase for your convenience.
Agents: We may employ other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf. These functions may include fulfilling orders for the Rewards program, delivering packages, hosting sites from this website or Walgreens.com including the photo site and online rebate redemption site, product reviews, developing pictures or photo products, sending postal mail and e-mail, removing repetitive information from customer lists, analyzing data, or processing credit card payments. They have access to personal information needed to perform their functions, but may not use it for other purposes.
Promotional Offers: We may send offers to selected groups of customers on behalf of other businesses. When we do this, we do not give that business your name and address. If you do not want to receive such offers, please notify us.
Disclosures: As required by law we will disclose medical and other information which may relate to you. For example, in compliance with the Methamphetamine Control Act of 1996, we will provide the Drug Enforcement Administration with the name and address of each individual who purchases products on this website or Walgreens.com which contain the ingredients ephedrine or pseudophedrine. We, or our photo site host, may also disclose information which we believe to be in violation of Title 18 of the United States Code, Sections 2251 et seq. to appropriate law enforcement agencies.
Invitees: You may invite other parties to view the content in your Photo Albums. Photo.Walgreens.com will share such information as may be necessary for your invitees to view the albums you designate.
Business Transfers: As we continue to develop our business, we might sell or buy stores or assets. In such transactions, customer information generally is one of the transferred business assets. Also, in the unlikely event that Walgreens or substantially all of its assets are acquired, customer information will of course be one of the transferred assets and is permissible under law.
Protection of Walgreens and Others: We release account and other personal information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with laws; enforce or apply our Terms of Use and other agreements; or protect the rights, property, or safety of this website or Walgreens.com, our users, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for fraud protection and credit risk reduction.
Do I have choices regarding how my information is used? You can always choose not to provide information, even though it might be needed to make a purchase or to take advantage of other web site features. If you do not want to receive e-mail from us or to add or update certain personal information, you can log in to your Walgreens Rewards account and click Update My Rewards Account. Points for oop--not very coupon savy. This means we'll have to WAIT for the certif or whatever to come? Or will they be loading it to the card? Kinda sounds like CVS's quaterly reward system, and I rarely ever get anything or only get 75c. This sounds like more of a headache then CVS's ECBs. I hate having a limit like they do the one shampoo deal. I mean hey, we need to conditioner too. Looks like this Christmas I won't be shopping Walgreens if this makes it to FL by then. :hectic1:

Can I earn points on sale, promotional or clearance items?
Yes, points are earned for the amount tendered for the sale, promotional or clearance item.

Looks like the amount tendered means OOP to me. Anyone else?

Boo, if it does. So I would have to spend $200 to get $5.00. That'll take a long time.....

And, I don't get my RX's filled there because they don't accept coupons! Looks like a bust for me. Oh well, didn't really expect it to be that much anyway.

We just have to wait n see if WAG can deter people from registering with fictitious info in order to get multiple cards to use in order to get around limits. I wonder if there will be no more Valued Customer registrants

However photo.walgreens.com does allow for the viewing of albums by minors above the age of 13 but purchases of products must be made by an adult.

What is this??? Walgreens has a policy to not allow children to purchase things??? So a teenager can't go in there and make a purchase? Jeez it's not like there Bob's XXX book store or something like that.

What is this??? Walgreens has a policy to not allow children to purchase things??? So a teenager can't go in there and make a purchase? Jeez it's not like there Bob's XXX book store or something like that.
They are referring to online purchasing.

Coupons are found money - who walks by money on the ground??

    thanks
in KC MO we are still getting RR deals as of right now. There are no longer the coupons in ad to clip though, they are are automatically deducted. We don't get the advertised sale prices unless we use the wags loyalty card.

So far no complaints, still waiting to see how the oop on the points earned pans out though...

Yeah just tried to register my card online again and it says i got my card 5/12, please allow up to 2 weeks for the online portion to be ready, um it's been way longer than 2 weeks as it is 6/5 today...I will give it another week and then try to call the number to make sure everything is okay. unlike cvs, there is no totals on my receipts, i am looking at. IT does show my rewards card number, and i also saw on the website where you can give the RFN# of the receipt and add it to your account if you forgot your card, but i don't know about getting the sale prices after the fact, just probably the points??
