I tried posting earlier about this on another thread about Walgreens RR, but did not really have a response that helped me figure out the pb. So trying to post again here...
Please help me figure out the pb. thanks.

Can someone please explain my pb redeeming my RR today.
    I tried to buy:

Cottonelle tp (listed at Walgreens as 5.00 sale price, but in actuality, it is 5.99 with $1.00 from the Walgreens booklet)
2 cans of Geisha mushrooms (on sale this week for $1/2, with walgreens cpn from flyer)
3 packs of peeps candies (easter clearance for 10cents each)

    To pay, I gave:
IP cpn of 0.50 for any Cottonelle 4 pack or larger
The cashier scanned the Walgreens cpn from the flyer for the mushrooms
Cashier also scanned a cpn for the Cottonelle from the booklet (I wasn't aware there was a cpn to make it $5)
Then I tried using the $5 RR I got from Nature's Bounty Vitamin D I got earlier

But cashier kept on telling me that she cannot deduct the $5.00 RR because I did not buy enough items and tried to use too many cpns. Don't understand the problem. She then told me to buy more peeps candies to try to use the RR. I said let's try it. But as she scanned more, it didn't work either....

I initially bought the candies to go over the $5 mark so I wouldn't be negative. I am not understanding the pb. As I was in a hurry to for an appt., I just asked the transaction to be voided and got the cpns back. I really would like to get the tp and mushrooms and would like to understand better before I go again.

    Thanks for any help!

Did the cashier try and scan the RR or did she just tell you it wouldn't work? By my count you had more items than q's (the Wags q's in the monthly booklet or in the weekly ad do not count against your total item count) so that wasn't it, also as evidenced by buying more peeps and the RR not working. I'm figuring your total
was 5.00 for tp, 1.00 for mushrooms, and .30 for 3 peeps, that's 6.30 less the .50 IP, so 5.80 plus tax. That is more than the RR was so I don't know why it wouldn't work. That's the only times it's happened to me, either I had more mq's + RR than I had items purchased, or the RR was more that the merchandise total. This is a puzzler to me:sad:

Watch the register to make sure the items are ringing up the price you are calculating in your scenario. Sometimes clearance has been reduced or an item rings up differently that you're expecting. As long as your subtotal is at least $5 before any Qs, then your RR should scan.

Have her scan the RR first. Then hand her the MQ for the cottonelle, then the IVC and in-ad Qs.

the subtotal was around $5.79 after wag coupons and manufacturer coupons, so that should have worked. I am not sure why she said you could not use the RR since you had 6 items and 2 manufacturer coupons, however, although the register will take it beforehand, RR are to be used after all other wag and mft coupons are scanned. It'll usually state on the RR the policy. It is considered fraud when using coupons for items not listed on the coupon, so please read you coupons carefully and please understand if a coupon is refused, it may be violating the terms. We can get in trouble and will not get reimbursed for the item sold.

I'm not sure where you are, but I've never been to a store that required that RRs be scanned AFTER all other coupons. That must be a regional or store decision where you live.

Also, just because a coupon scans and doesn't beep, doesn't make it the proper use of that coupon. Without going into decoding, which is against the rules here at HCW, suffice it to say, that we encourage all Members to read the wording on their coupons carefully. None of us want to cause an employee to lose their job over coupon fraud.

You could do that....but I would save the bogo till the week of 5/16 when the gillette bodywash and the oldspice body wash is free after RR.
You will have more out of pocket but you will get back a $4.50 RR for either deal.
Be sure to do them in separate transactions.
    4.49 x2=9.98 - 4.49 (bogo) =4.49 get a $4.50RR

Can you use 2 RRs from the same sale (for example, 2 of the $3 off EOS) in the same transaction? So, if if I had $6 of other items, could I use both of my RRs or will it cause the register to beep?

You can use 2, as long as you have 2 items that do not have a MQ attached to them. Also, of course, you store could limit you, but the register will not.
