Default Walgreens: Is it too late?

I went to Walgreen's last night and bought 5 bottles of Vick's. I completely forgot that I had a free puffs coupon. Is it too late to go back to the store and see if I can still get free puffs?

Call the store, ask the manager. If they say yes, get manager's name and how long they'll be there and ask to talk to them if you go over there and the cashier says no.

I went to a non-coupon friendly store so I doubt they'll say yes. I wonder if I can go to a different Walgreen's and ask?

Worst case scenario, they say no. Right? I would go back to the same store though, since you will need your receipt to show you didn't get the Puffs anyway. Call first, as the PP suggested.

Q: I forgot to redeem my manufacture or 7-day coupon, what do I do?
A: Walgreens is pretty good about honoring them after the purchase has been made. Go back into the store and ask them. This may vary, as some stores will allow this and some won't.

This is from the WAG FAQ thread. I've only ever gone back when a 7 day Q wasn't scanned. Good luck, and let us know how it works out.

You could always take back the 5 bottles of Vicks, return them and have them re-ring them all with the free Puffs....

Personally, I'd probably let it go. The longer I coupon the less inclined I am to go back to fix mistakes. It just consumes so much time and energy.
In the big picture, I save so much, I've decided it's ok to miss a few dollars here and there.

I bought 2 Natrol Melatonin the other week.
The next day I remembered that I had 3.00 Natrol coupons in my binder
I just didn't have it in me to go back and fix it. 6.00 down the drain....

I bought 2 Reach TB and 2 floss on Saturday and forgot to have them scan the in-ad coupon. I hate to return the stuff, but even with the MQ I used, they still cost more than I'm willing to pay.
