Walgreens - Has anyone had any trouble using the free puff w/ a $ off dayquil?

Went to Walgreens this morning, I bought 3 dayquil and a nyquil, had $1.50 off coupons for each of those and then tried to get 2 boxes of puffs tissue with the get 1 wyb 2 vicks product coupons. I had other stuff as well. I actually checked out with the manager and she wouldn't let me use both, said you can't use 2 coupons for the same items. I thought the $1.50 off were for the dayquil and the other one was for the tissue, but I didn't argue with her.

Just wondering if anyone else has encountered that issue? I used the $2 off venus and buy a venus, get an Olay body wash there with no problems a handful of times last week.

You should have been able to use the 4 $1.50/1 Nyquil/Dayquil + 2 free puffs wyb 2 nyquil/dayquil since you were buying 4 total.

Thanks, that's what I thought, but since it was the manager I figured it was kind of pointless to push it. ;) Plus I had the 4 kids with me, and shopping with even just the 2 boys (3 weeks yesterday, and a year and a half) is interesting enough as it is. Lol!

This one is really coupon friendly overall, and she was nice about it and asked if I wanted her to take the tissues off. I thought I was in the right but just wanted to double check and make sure I wasn't doing something wrong. Thanks. :)

It should have beeped only because the cashier needed to put in the price of the puffs for removal.

Oh she didn't even scan it, just looked at it and said it wouldn't work because I used the $1.50 off of the dayquil and nyquil, that "they won't let you use 2 coupons for the same item." ;)

I thought it was kind of funny since I'd been doing the $2 off Venus and the free Olay wyb Venus for a week before, and I'm pretty sure she rang me up at least once for that.

When someone says that to me, I just clarify that I'm using 1 coupon for each item. One for the Nyquil, the other for the Puffs.
Usually they seem to get it when I put it that way.

I went to WAG last Friday and used two of the free Puffs wyb 2 nyquil/dayquil. Had DS with me and it was the first time we had been out in a while due to the snow. We gather our items, and head to check out. Of course, it's a ghost town in there since no one is out shopping. The only register open is the front. So, there we are with our STACK of Qs. I get the eye roll and the cashier is scanning away. She gets to the Puffs and tells me I can only use one. I say, no I bought 5 nyquil/dayquil, I can use 2. She reads it again and says no. The lady behind me in line is huffing out loud at this point. I look at DS and say, "What is 2 + 2?" He says "4 Mommy!" The cashier finally gets it! Then I turn to address little Miss Huff-n-Puff behind me. It's my high school swim coach! (Yeah, loooong time ago!) She immediately apologized for "complaining" and then was amazed at my total.
So... yes, you can use 2 free Puffs Qs wyb 2 + 2 Vicks! Sheesh. Even my 8 year old could figure that out. LOL!!

I did this deal only once. I was able to use 4 x $2 nyquil MQs plus 2 free puffs wyb nyquil. ON top of that the puffs was on sale with 7dWAGc which also went through w/o beeps.
