    Default Walgreens Rain Check Question

Okay, so I'm new to the Walgreens family- I'm more of a CVS kind of gal, but I'm trying... I've had to get rain checks for a few deals lately and have a question about them. For the first one, it was the Planters nuts for $1.99. The manager wrote out the rain check, didn't ask for my name & number, and didn't ask how many I wanted- just noted '6' as the limit. Then, last week, I got another rain check for the Bic Hybrid B1G1 razors and the manager doing it this time asked for my name & number, and wrote in the limit as '2'.

My question is- when there is no limit stated in the ad, how do they decide what it will be?? AND, for instance, the Planters deal above, included a Walgreens $1/1 Planters Q that expired 1/31/10. They have still not gotten stock in of this item. Do you think they'll accept this Q since they have not gotten stock in almost 2 weeks of this item? If not, I'll just toss this rain check- they were meant to be free, not $0.99! Thanks for any advice that can be offered!

The SM can limit quantities on RCs and apparently, yours did. I seriously doubt they will accept the expired IVC, since it is their policy not to accept any expired coupons.
Next time, ask if they will write the RC for the after IVC price, it's worth a shot, right? Also, the Planters wasn't free after the IVC, they were free after IVC + MQ. Either way, they'd still be .99 after MQ.
Sorry, looks like you're out of luck on this one.

I am with Mikki on this one. Wags managers have the right to limit quantities and some limit them more than others. Some stores limit quantities on the raincheck pretty severely around where I live and some don't. Guess which ones I get my rainchecks from?

Also, Wags doesn't have a way of forcing RRs to print like CVS does, so it is really a YMMV on whether they will write one with the RR savings included. There is no set corp. policy on how they handle them.

Thanks for giving Wags a try. There are some really great deals to be found. Let us know how we can help.

Yeah, I have multiples of the $2/2 MQ to use with the IVC which would have made them free... Guess I'll pass on this one... Just trying to get my first good deal at Wags- apparently there are others in my area doing the same... Thanks for the help mods!

Just to clarify for everyone, I am only commenting about RCs and *asking* that the IVC be included (non-expired at the time of RC). WAG policy is that they do not accept expireds.
