Default Walgreens Help with Toy Deal Please

Okay, I realize that I jumped on the Toy band wagon very late (I saw you smart sweet peas doing this a month ago)! Anyway, I am charged with purchasing toys for the toy drive at church - so I need to maximize my dollar! I have no RRs to throw into the mix (ugh).

    So - the $6.99 toys are Buy 2, Get 1 Free (3/13.98).
They are B1G1 free right now. (2/$6.98)

My question is, will they ring this way:

    4 Toys @ $6.99
    - 2 x $6.99
    Total: 4/$13.98

    Or

    Could I do this:
    6 Toys @ $4.66
    - 3 x $4.66
    Total: 6/$13.98

    Or

    B1G2 Free
3/$6.99 x 2 = $13.98 (Basically same kind of scenario as the previous).

And then of course, I would add the 15% discount to equal a grand total of: $11.88 + tax

I would like to stay around $20-$25 in total (since I am a dork and missed the holiday RR). So, I would LOVE to get 12 toys for $23.76 + tax!

I would love your thoughts ASAP! Going to buy at lunch!

    Thanks!!

I bought 2 of the $6.99 toys a couple days ago and it the first rang up at $6.99 and the second at $0.00.

My guess is you'll be able to get 4 toys for $13.98 but with the 15% off you'll really get 4 toys for $11.88 plus tax.

    Hope this helps :)

I wonder if you would have gotten 3 toys if the 3rd would have rung up as $0.00 too...

    Thanks for your response!

Toys are b1g1 (the 6.99 ones), and yes the first one rings up $6.99 and the second one $0.00. I think its a really great deal! I think i seen that there was a limit...Not to sure??

luvs2cpn is right. I bought 8 toys on Thursday for the toy drive at work and they rang up $6.99 $0.00 $6.99 $0.00 $6.99 $0.00 $6.99 $0.00. So I had to pay for 4 and got 4 free. The sale overrides the deal listed on the boxes I guess. But still a great deal (and really good toys too, I was impressed with all the Disney toys to choose from). I hope you were able to get some great ones for your toy drive!

Ditto to the above posters. Plus, the limits are not enforced at all stores. One of my wags had a TON of the BOGO toys and as long as you ask, they are good about letting you go over the limits. I usually go over the "limit" when the Geisha 4oz Mushrooms are on the $.39 sale - LOVE that price

I didn't realize the $5 walgreens rr I got last week expired today, so I made a quick run. Store I went had a really good selection, which I was surprised. Usually when they do the toy sales, the selection isn't that great. I got ds1 a Discovery Kids make your own robot and ds2 a Kids KNex set along with 3 boxes of Puffs. I had $1/1 Puffs manf q's so that gave me a little bit of overage, I paid $1.66 + tax for everything!!
