I think the right thing to do would be to return it to the store.
Now, that said, is it something you want? if so, you are being honest to return it and now the rr deal is over so maybe they will discount the price by the amount of rr you would have received...but either way please return it, you got the value of the coupon for an item you did not pay for, it would be wrong to keep it.

I don't have a copy of the Natrol IP but shouldn't it attach to a Natrol purchase? in that case that no Natrol was scanned, that is what I'm wondering where it attached to w/o beeping? :shrug7:if it scanned because the total amount was not exceeded, then it acted like OYNO RR? :shrug7:

OP, that is interesting, thanks for sharing your experience.

that is a logical explanation. many cashiers have been reported to overide coupons. HOWEVER, there have been cases when coupons won't go through no matter what cashier does to overide. :hectic1:

I too think you should return the item or go in and pay for it if you intend to keep it.

Sorry I'm in the minority on this and think you should just leave well enough alone. I think the whole issue will confuse whoever you talk with in the store, especially if you do take the receipt, and likely they would just say it was their mistake and you should keep it. If I put everything up properly to be checked out and they miss something, I'll mention it if I notice it while they're ringing me up. If I don't notice it before completing the transaction, I'm not going out of my way to fix it since I did what I was supposed to do in the first place. In the scheme of things this likely all works out as I know I've been charged double for things and not noticed it until later and not gone in for my money back. Glad to see there are so many super honest people here :)

I agree in this case! And I'm a honest person. It doesn't take much to confuse my store. Plus, It would bother me more to possibly cause a cashier to get into trouble. Tough choice either way.

    my opinion only........
everyone is quick to jump on the store if they make a mistake....if you get over charged, if you don't get your RR, ect..... works both ways
