HTH! | She meant to say, if you already have a coupon for each item, you're maxed out on coupons allowed.
If you want to use x number of RRs to pay the balance, you will need x number of additional filler items.
Another way to count it:
total # of coupons + total # of RR must = at least the total # of items
exception: i think if you have a coupon like $1.00/2, that coupon counts both items as a group rather than as 2 items

She spread the coupons out and called the manager who inspected them and the qualifying purchase. I had already noticed the mascaras were ringing up B1G1 50% (they got the memo!) lol So I said I wanted to take the mascaras off. They voided the mascaras. Then she proceeded to tell me that I couldn't use my RR to pay the balance because I had already used coupons on all the items. WHAT??? The manager said as he was walking away that it states on the RR... At that point... I just scooped up my coupons and said to void the entire transaction... Just stupid! OK... just read one of the RRs "coupon value cannot exceed purchase amount" that makes sense. "total number of manufacturer coupons/register rewards cannot exceed the number of items in the transaction" HUH? I might be tired, but that makes NO sense to me! Oh well, I won't go back to THAT store. Have enough other ones I can shop. | Now let's not get all crazy because you didn't read the exculsions or understand the lingo. That is hardly fair.
"total number of coupons/register rewards cannot exceed the number of items in the transaction" - easy... count your manufacturer coupons, count your RR's and how many items you have. You can't have 12 coupons/rr's and 10 items. RR's are manufacturer coupons and you can't use 2 manufacturer coupons on one item and that is exactly what you would be doing.
Add a candy bar..scan a RR, if you have another RR and your total is high enough to use it...say balance due is $3.02 and your holding a $3...have her scan it...if it works great...but it won't. Add another candy bar, use the ad coupon this week to get it for .49 and scan the last RR... so you'll pay just over .50
It's frustrating when you first get going and yes, they are less than consistant about what is oay and not okay so it's important to keep reading all the small print. |
