Three items and four (three manufacturer's and one Walgreens insert coupon).

You would have to find a 'filler' item, like a pencil or marked down single piece of Halloween candy so that you would have four items to four coupons.

I've found that the Walgreens coupons don't count for the total coupon-item count. I've been able to use more coupons than items in a transaction as long as I don't have more manufacturer coupons than items. (And the RR counts as a manufacturer coupon.)

My coupon friendly store has told me they must take the Walgreens coupons first. I have had problems with this and sometimes it would not allow me to use my manufacturer coupons too. But other times it works fine. I have not figured out why. I'm hoping they have fixed it so they can follow their policy of taking the Walgreens coupons first and still allowing us to use manufacturer coupons.

I told them that if they (cooperate) is going to make a policy that they must take the Walgreens coupons first then they need to fix the registers so that it will also take the manufacturer coupon too. So maybe it has been fixed. :shrug7:

Yes I was quite upset when I tried to take my RR and coupons to use them for the Tide. I realized that the RR are now manufacturer coupons. I told the cashier to tell the manager I did not appreciate this. LOL

I'm a lil irritated and needed some input or something...or maybe just to vent.

I went to one of my local Wags this morning. I was buying 6 lotions in 2 transactions to get my RR. Now, I also was buying other items as well with each of these transactions. The cashier explained to me I could only get 1 RR. I told her I knew that and that's why I was doing 2 different transactions. She said no, I can do 2 seperate tranactions but when the RR printed on the 2nd, they would rip it up and throw it away. The manager came over and stated they can limit the RR and they stated it's ONE PER HOUSEHOLD. Now, in the ad, it states one RR per transaction. I would have been ok if they had told me they wouldn't let me do seperate transactions but to tell me they are going to throw away MY RR?!?!?!

Are they correct? Can they let me do this transaction & then throw away my RR? I thought I had read somewhere they cannot take the RR's that print and throw them away.

I could be wrong but if I remember correctly the managers are supposed to throw away any RR that a customer leaves behind or does not want. That being said, I seriously doubt that Walgreens would want managers or cashiers throwing away RR that a customer has earned honestly.

However, I know that Walgreens' managers can set limits on transactions so I'd say it's ok per Walgreens policy for him to limit you to how many can be purchased.

You are not alone. I've read it happened to a lot of customers to realize it may be a policy in a lot of districts now. Hate to be bearer of bad news, but YES, they can limit your transactions. There are notices posted in some stores saying limit 1 RR per PROMO per DAY to prevent people from doing separate transactions to get 1 RR per transaction. It looks like they frown on those who do separate transactions to get multiple like RRs; this is also their way to make sure other customers get a chance to find stocks on the shelves.

I'm just wondering why your store will allow you to buy 6 in 2 separate transactions and rip the $8 RR on the 2nd transaction? Doesn't make sense at all when they can just enforce 1 transaction printing that RR. They can offer you other items printing RRs like the PB almays foundation, eyeshadow, mascara, lip gloss or other promo offers. Either they allow multiple "like" transactions and give corresponding RRs to customer or they limit transactions instead of making RR print and destroy. To deny customers of their legitimately acquired RRs spell trouble for the store. M2C.

Several of the stores around me are now enforcing the once per day limit on RR deals - I've been told one per household by one store, one per customer by another. Never been told that they'd throw RR's away if I tried to do a second transaction. I just do my one and leave and come back the next day.

I was told by one of the BA's last week that a guy came in and bought 80 bottles of Dawn that was on sale! She said he pulled out a wad of RR's that was 3 inches thick, wrapped with a heavy duty rubber band, to pay for his stuff. He also bought 30 of something else, but I can't remember what she said it was. I asked why they would let him buy so many and she said her manager doesn't care because he wants to sell as much as possible. I went to another Wags 30 miles from the first one and was telling the BA there about it and she said the same guy (by a very telling description) was asked to leave by her manager because of the same shelf clearing. He comes back when he knows the manager that was on duty isn't working. She is wondering if he is printing the RR's himself. She said they are always printed uneven. I know there is red writing on the back, so I doubt that could be the case, but, who knows.
